Tennis Grass Court Wimbledon

Day six of this year's Wimbledon throws up some intriguing contests, as British number two Cameron Norrie will face Alexander Zverev, while Novak Djokovic's quest for a record-equalling eighth title at SW19 continues against Alexei Popyrin.

Andy Murray is also in mixed doubles action alongside Emma Raducanu, and these three matches will be the focus of my Wimbledon tips for Saturday.

Wimbledon Betting Tips - Saturday, July 6

  • Alexander Zverev to beat Cameron Norrie 3-1 @ 12/5
  • Novak Djokovic to beat Alexei Popyrin 3-1 @ 23/10
  • Andy Murray/Emma Raducanu to beat Marcelo Arevalo/Zhang Shuai @ 2/1

Tennis Odds

Alexander Zverev to beat Cameron Norrie 3-1 @ 12/5

World number four Alexander Zverev will lock horns with home favourite Cameron Norrie in the third round at Wimbledon on Saturday.

Norrie delivered a statement straight-sets win against Jack Draper on Thursday, to reach the third round at the All England Club for just the second time in his career.

It's easy to forget that the former British number one was a semi-finalist here just two years ago before he ran into eventual champion Novak Djokovic, and now standing in his way is a player that he's never got the better of.

Zverev holds a 5-0 lead in the head-to-head record between the pair, and the German has breezed into the third round, yet to drop a set.

I think that will change here as Norrie will have the home crowd behind him, and I was impressed with his performance against Draper, but I expect Zverev to prevail in four sets.

Zverev to win 3-1 at 12-5

Novak Djokovic to beat Alexei Popyrin 3-1 @ 23/10

Australia's Alexei Popyrin has never made it past the third round at Wimbledon, but will get the chance to correct that against seven-time champion Novak Djokovic.

The pair met at the Australian Open earlier this year, in which Djokovic prevailed in four sets, and I'm expecting a similar outcome on Saturday.

Djokovic looks wary of his knee injury, which could open the door for Popyrin to cause an upset as the 24-year-old is a hard hitter. However, Djokovic's experience at this tournament will guide him to the latter stages, even if he's not playing his best tennis.

Britain's Jacob Fearnley attempted to take the game to the Serbian on Thursday, but ultimately lost in four sets, and the 37-year-old admitted afterwards that he needs to raise his level.

Popyrin caused Djokovic problems on the hard courts in Melbourne - a surface he's much better on than grass - and given the latter's knee issues at this moment in time, I think the 24-year-old has enough in his locker to claim a set off the Serb.

Djokovic to win 3-1 at 23-10

Wimbledon Odds

Andy Murray/Emma Raducanu to beat Marcelo Arevalo/Zhang Shuai @ 2/1

As part of his Wimbledon farewell, Andy Murray has teamed up with Emma Raducanu to form a superstar mixed doubles duo.

The pair will face Marcelo Arevalo and Zhang Shuai in the second round on Saturday, and after suffering a defeat alongside brother Jamie in the men's doubles on Thursday, Murray will be determined not to see his final appearance at SW19 cut short here.

Raducanu has looked excellent in her opening two singles matches - at the time of writing, she hasn't played her third-round tie against Maria Sakkari - and it'll be interesting to see if that form translates over to the doubles format.

There's no doubt that the pair will have the home support firmly behind them, but this will be a tough test - Arevalo is a two-time men's doubles Grand Slam winner, while Shuai has also lifted two women's doubles majors.

I think 2/1 is decent value for Murray and Raducanu to win the match, as they're not doubles specialists, therefore not favourites, and with the home support behind them, they can cause an upset.

Murray and Raducanu to win at 2-1
