Tennis Betting Tips: Boulter to bounce back in Toronto

Monday was a relatively successful day as two of my selections landed. Now onto Tuesday with more tennis in store. My focus is on the Canadian Open, with the men competing in Montreal and the women battling it out in Toronto.
Once again I am back with three selections for the day's action as I continue to search for a clean sweep. Below you will find my tennis betting tips.
Tennis Betting Tips - Tuesday, August 6
Tallon Griekspoor to beat Lorenzo Sonego 2-1 @ 11/4
These two players haven't met in two years with their last meeting, a qualifier for another ATP 1000 event, being won by Lorenzo Sonego. It was a tight contest, and I am expecting no different with this match two years on.
Tallon Griekspoor looks better-equipped to come out on top this time around, having consistently played at a high level throughout the 2024 season. One thing that has stood out when watching the Dutchman in action is that both his serve and forehand are strong, so I don't expect him to concede too many of his service games.
Sonego will make it a challenge, no doubt, and I think he has the skillset to take this match all the way to a deciding third set, but I am confident that Griekspoor will emerge as the victor.
Katie Boulter to beat Anhelina Kalinina 2-1 @ 3/1
After a disappointing early exit at the Olympics, Brit Katie Boulter will be looking for a response in Toronto as she faces Anhelina Kalinina on Tuesday. I think that she can regain some confidence here because in 2024 so far, her record on hard court has been impressive. Boulter boasts 12 wins to four defeats and it continues to show that she delivers some of her best tennis on this surface.
Kalinina herself is 7/9 on this surface in 2024, so I think she will provide an interesting challenge to the British star on Tuesday. It is a match that I can see going the distance, and it is Boulter I predict to come out on top.
She did suffer a setback in Paris, but she is returning to a surface that has very much been an ally to her over the years, I'm expecting her to put the Olympics behind her and respond in style in Toronto.
Miomir Kecmanovic to beat Nuno Borges 2-0 @ 6/4
You may think this is a bold selection given that Nuno Borges recently landed the Swedish Open title in Bastad. Yes, he defeated the legendary Rafael Nadal in the final, but his route to the final didn't see him tested against opposition of any real pedigree.
The 27-year-old followed this up with a disappointing showing at the Olympics as he was well-beaten by Mariano Navone. After landing his first career title, more was expected of him in Paris. It will be interesting to see how he fares in Montreal against Miomir Kecmanovic, who previously won their only career meeting to date.
Borges still has a long way to go if he is to considered a consistent title challenger on the ATP tour, and it is for that reason I think that he will fall to another defeat here, and in straight sets.
