Tennis Betting Tips: American ace to shine in Antwerp

A busy week in the tennis calendar continues with European ATP Tour events taking place from Almaty, Antwerp and Stockholm while the women are on their travels in East Asia, competing in Ningbo and Osaka.
There is last-16 action taking place in each of those competitions and there are plenty of familiar names taking to the court, with men’s world number seven Andrey Rublev headlining the show in Stockholm and women’s world number 13 Barbora Krejcikova the class act in Ningbo. Read on for our tennis betting tips for Thursday, October 17.
Tennis Betting Tips - Thursday, October 17
Marcos Giron to beat Arthur Rinderknech @ 4/5
Marcos Giron is seeded eighth in Antwerp and the American lived up to that billing in the opening round, taking only an hour and 20 minutes to record a 6-4 6-1 victory over Botic Van De Zandschulp.
Giron is very hit-and-miss but he upset world number 26 Karen Khachanov in Shanghai last week, before bumping into an in-form David Goffin, and he appears to be coming to the boil nicely.
This is no easy task for Giron against Arthur Rinderknech but he has won two of their three meetings and he undoubtedly has more natural ability than the Frenchman, who has lost five of his last eight matches.

Miomir Kecmanovic to win 2-0 v Nicolas Jarry @ 6/5
Miomir Kecmanovic made light work of Cameron Norrie in his opening showdown in Stockholm, winning 6-4 6-4 without facing a break-point opportunity, and he can repeat the trick against the woefully out-of-sorts Nicolas Jarry.
Jarry is more renowned for his heroics on clay but he has seriously struggled ever since finishing runner-up to Alexander Zverev in Rome in May, losing nine of his subsequent 11 outings.
The Chilean has lost seven of his last nine hard-court matches and he was made to work hard in his opening encounter with world number 252 Elias Ymer, coming from a set down to prevail in a tiebreak.
That suggests that Kecmanovic, on his favourite terrain, may be too strong for him and a straight-sets success for the Serbian looks the most likely outcome.

Katie Boulter to beat Beatriz Haddad Maia @ 6/4
Katie Boulter has won all three previous meetings with Beatriz Haddad Maia and it may be worth chancing the Briton to maintain that dominance as an outsider in Ningbo.
Boulter has endured a tough summer but she looked in decent touch in her 6-3 6-2 victory over Sara Errani in round one and the three-time WTA Tour title winner knows that there is plenty left in the tank.
Brazil’s Haddad Maia has some good recent form, highlighted by her title victory in Seoul last month, but she has had an extremely busy time of things and at some point those exertions are going to take their toll.
