Tennis Betting Tips: Expect more thrills and spills in latest Sincaraz showdown

It all comes down to Monday in this year's Cincinnati Open, with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz contesting the ATP final, and Iga Swiatek and Jasmine Paolini facing off in the WTA final.
Below are my Monday Tennis Betting Tips, where I have combined a selection from each into a 2.6/1 double.
Tennis Betting Tips - Monday, August 18
- Total Games - Over 23.5 in Jannik Sinner (ITA) vs Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) @ 1/1
- Total Games - Under 20.5 in Iga Swiatek (POL) vs Jasmine Paolini (ITA) @ 4/5
Double @ 2.6/1

Total Games - Over 23.5 in Jannik Sinner (ITA) vs Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) @ 1/1
Sinner has made light work of his opponents at the 2025 Cincinnati Open, reaching the final without dropping a single set. Surprisingly, perhaps his toughest test was in the semi-finals against qualifier Terence Atmane (7-6, 6-2), who pushed him hard in the first set.
The Italian emerged unscathed, though, and landed us a 2/1 winner in Saturday's Tennis Betting Tips.
Sinner faces a familiar foe in Monday's final, in the fourth episode of the 'Sincaraz' rivalry this year. Alcaraz won the first couple of matches at the Italian Open (7-5, 6-1) and French Open (4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6), but away from the clay courts, on grass at last month's Wimbledon final, Sinner exacted his revenge, winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.
Alcaraz leads 9-6 in the head-to-head (including Six Kings Slam), and 5-3 on hard courts, but Sinner won the most recent match on this surface, in Saudi Arabia last October (6-7, 6-3, 6-3).
The World No. 1 is on a 12-match win streak across hard and grass, last falling to defeat on the latter surface to Alexander Bublik (6-3, 3-6, 4-6) in Halle on June 19, and has only dropped one set in that time - but that was to Alcaraz at Wimbledon.
Since the start of 2024, Sinner and Alcaraz have played each other seven times, and only on one occasion, at the Italian Open in May this year, has someone won in straight sets, with over 23.5 total games a winning selection in six.
Given his win at Wimbledon and terrific recent form, Sinner is rightly rated as the favourite to triumph in Monday's final, but Alcaraz is a fierce competitor, and I'm not expecting the Spaniard to make things easy for his opponent.
Three sets looks likely, and even in the event that Sinner gets the job done inside two, I'd expect a couple of closely-fought sets, so over 23.5 total games looks like the best bet here at 1/1.

Total Games - Under 20.5 in Iga Swiatek (POL) vs Jasmine Paolini (ITA) @ 4/5
Paolini came into Cincinnati with just three wins across her last four tournaments, but she's now in her ninth career final.
The Italian beat her first three opponents in The Queen City, Maria Sakkari (7-6, 7-6), Ashlyn Krueger (7-6, 6-1) and Barbora Krejcikova (6-1, 6-2) in straight sets, although she was taken to a tiebreak in her first three sets of the tournament.
Paolini was the underdog in her quarter-final with Coco Gauff, but overcame the World No. 2 in three sets (2-6, 6-4, 6-3), before ousting Veronika Kudermetova (6-3, 6-7, 6-3) in the semis.
The 29-year-old is playing some terrific tennis, but in Monday's final, she faces an opponent she has never beaten in five previous attempts.
Swiatek hasn't dropped a set in Cincy, opening up with a straightforward victory over Anastasia Potapova (6-1, 6-4) in the second round before her third-round opponent, Marta Kostyuk, was forced to withdraw before their match due to injury.
In the last 16, she beat Sorana Cirstea (6-4, 6-3), before knocking out Anna Kalinskaya (6-3, 6-4) and Elena Rybakina (7-5, 6-3) in the quarters and semis, respectively.
The 24-year-old has a nearly impeccable record against Paolini, winning all five WTA tour matches - four of them in straight sets, which have all produced 16 or fewer games.
Only Rybakina (21 games) has pushed Swiatek past the 20.5 games barrier in Cincy, and given the one-way nature of her previous meetings with the World No. 3, I don't expect Paolini to follow suit on Monday.
