“DA DA DA DA DA DA DER, DA DA DA DA DA!”

Strictly is back and last week we got our first look at the new pairings on the first live show of the series. But who was a hit and who was a flop? On Saturday it's their last chance to impress, before the voting public have their say and we lose our first celebrity.

So without further ado, here are your Strictly odds 2024 as we look at the favourites to be eliminated first...

Strictly 1st Elimination Odds

  • Toyah Willcox @ 11/4
  • Paul Merson @ 3/1
  • Nick Knowles @ 6/1
  • Tom Dean @ 10/1

Toyah Willcox @ 11/4

66-year-old Toyah was installed as a 16/1 shot to win this edition of Strictly before any of the celebrities had stepped a foot on that hallowed dance floor but that price has gone steaming out after receiving the lowest score of just 12 for her Tango with professional partner Neil Jones.

However, Willcox was defiant on this weeks It Takes Two, where she declared the only way is up and is looking forward to dancing the Jive to Nutbush City Limits. I think this dance could be more up her street and the 11/4 on offer looks short given this is only week 2!

Paul Merson @ 3/1

The ex-Arsenal and England footballer was always going to be a favourite for this first elimination vote as he was the 40/1 outsider to win with Betfred pre-show.

That cause wasn't helped as he received the second lowest score after his frankly weird American Smooth dance to Vindaloo by Fat Les - yes, I did just write those words.

Would be my favourite to go this week!

Strictly Come Dancing 2024 - 1st Elimination Paul Merson

Odds correct at time of publishing.

Nick Knowles @ 6/1

It appears Mr Knowles may have been given a 'free-pass' this week, after picking up a midweek injury.

He apparently has his arm in a sling, after dancing the ballroom last week and it's yet to be confirmed if he will participate this weekend.

The DIYSOS host and his partner Luba Mushtuk picked up 18 points last week to finish fourth bottom but he looks a short price considering he might not even dance.

Tom Dean @ 10/1

Last on our hit list is triple-olympic gold medallist Tom Dean, who was a 8/1 favourite to win the show just two weeks ago! So, what happened?

Well, Dean picked up 23 points for his Tango but received some criticism on social media for being a bit rigid and wooden.

He'll need to loosen those joints this week as he dances the Cha Cha to “Boogie Wonderland” by Earth, Wind & Fire but I think he should be safe for a few weeks yet!
