Day 6 of the UK Championship is with us and as always, Dean Strand (@DSSnookerTips) is back with three more selections for Thursday.

UK Championship Day 6 Tips

  • 2pts Ronnie O’Sullivan -3.5 v Robert Milkins - 13/10
  • 0.5pts Ronnie O’Sullivan Correct score 6-0 - 10/1
  • 2pts Hossein Vafaei v Matthew Selt - Both Players to make a century - 9/4

2pts Ronnie O’Sullivan -3.5 v Robert Milkins - 13/10

O’Sullivan has always loved the UK Championship, winning the event seven times and he looked focused and in form in his first round win over McGill. After a bit of a slow start trailing 2-0, he hit back with five 60+ breaks to win six frames in a row and book his place in the 2nd round.

The Rocket always enjoys playing matches against quick attacking players and Milkins is the perfect opponent for him in this sense. The two have met eight times previously (excluding Championship League events) and Ronnie has completely dominated the head to head winning all eight and losing just seven frames out of 53 completed.

0.5pts Ronnie O’Sullivan Correct score 6-0 - 10/1

The Rocket has whitewashed Milkins three times in those eight matches, with two 4-0 wins and a 6-0 win in their only previous UK Championship meeting.

2pts Hossein Vafaei v Matthew Selt - Both Players to make a century - 9/4

Vafaei and Selt both look in very good form at the moment and this could be a high quality match up.

Vafaei has made 19 centuries for the season, averaging one every 8.79 frames and has made at least one century in six of his eight best of 11s this season, including his first round win against Shaun Murphy.

Selt's stats aren’t quite as impressive but he’s still made 10, averaging one every 15 frames and last season his record was even better with 33 centuries, averaging one every 11 frames.

Both players to make a century looks good value at 9/4.
