The final four first round matches of the VPUK Championship take place on Tuesday, as some of snookers biggest names join the action.

First up on table one is easily the tie of the round - Judd Trump against Neil Robertson, in a repeat of the 2020 final. Then another two former World Champions meet in the evening as recent Champion of Champions winner Mark Williams takes on Stuart Bingham.

Meanwhile, table two sees John Higgins face 24-year-old He Guoqaing, before an all Chinese affair in the evening between Zhang Anda and Lei Peifan.

As always we have our snooker expert Dean Strand (@DSSnookerTips) on hand to give his take on proceedings, and following on from Monday's predictions, his UK Championship Snooker Day 4 Betting Tips can be found down below.

Snooker UK Championship Odds

He Guoqaing Highest Break v John Higgins @ 6/4

Since the UK Championship moved to the Barbican Centre in 2011, Higgins has struggled here with only three quarter finals in his last 13 attempts, despite having great success in other tournaments.

Under this format he went out in the second round last year to Zhou Yuelong and was beaten in the first round the previous year to Tom Ford, 3-6 on both occasions.

He Guoqaing is in his second season on tour but he’s proven himself a very capable player beating plenty of top players, including Ronnie O’Sullivan and Kyren Wilson.

I do think there’s a little value on him to win the match here but odds of 6/4 for the highest break of the match look more appealing.

He’s played six matches against top 16 players this season and made the highest break of the match in five of them, including against O’Sullivan twice, Kyren, and a magnificent 139 break against Judd Trump.

Neil Robertson Highest Break v Judd Trump @ 21/20

Definitely the standout match of the first round here between two of the best players of the last decade.

These two have had some great matches recently, including an epic final here four years ago, which Robertson won on the pink in the deciding frame.

Just last week they met in the Champion of Champions quarter final, with Robertson picking up another win 6-4.

Again I prefer the highest break market for this one - Robertson's break building has always been his strength and he has a better frames per century rate than Trump this season, averaging one every 8.84 frames.

This is a market which Robertson has dominated in recent head-to-heads too, making the highest in eight of his last nine matches against Trump, including both meetings this season.

Mark Williams -1.5 v Stuart Bingham @ 20/21

Bingham has been struggling for form the last couple of seasons, with a World Championship semi final this year his only semi appearance since 2021.

Williams in contrast is still regularly going deep in tournaments, earlier this season he had a superb run to the final of the Saudi Masters, only losing out on the black to Trump in the final. Then just last week, he won the Champion of Champions with a 10-6 over the in-form Guodong in the final, after earlier wins against Kyren Wilson and Robertson.

These two have already met in a best-of-11 in the last 16 in Saudi this season and Williams dominated that match, talking the last four frames to win 6-2.

It’s not Bingham's only heavy defeat this season either, in his last best-of-11 before this event, he was beaten 6-0 by Thepchaiya Un-Nooh.
