Warrington Wolves vs Huddersfield Giants Prediction: Expect a big showing from 7/5 Giants

Two teams in need of a Betfred Super League victory lock horns at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 15:00 BST) as Betfred Challenge Cup finalists Warrington Wolves welcome a Huddersfield Giants side denied a famous win over Wigan Warriors last week right at the death.
Warrington were well beaten at Leeds Rhinos following their Wembley heartache and will see this one as absolutely must-win in their bid to rise up the Super League table. Read on for my Warrington Wolves vs Huddersfield Giants predictions, along with Betfred's full match odds and the latest team news.

Warrington Wolves vs Huddersfield Giants Odds
The Wire are heavy favourites as one might expect. They're a 2/11 shot to pick up two much-needed points against a Giants side with a grand total of one league win to their name in 2025.
Huddersfield can be back for the win at 4/1, with the draw a 22/1 chance.
The regular two-way handicap gives Luke Robinson's side a 14.5-point start, with Warrington 20/21 (51.2% implied probability) in that bracket and Huddersfield 4/5.
Team News
Warrington head coach Sam Burgess makes four changes to the initial 21-man squad who travelled to AMT Headingley last weekend.
The Wire have only one win in five and sit three points adrift of the play-off places, with several key players out long-term. Youngster Arron Lindop was the latest to be added to that list this week when he was ruled out for the season with an ACL injury.
Fellow winger Matty Ashton is also out for the rest of the year as he recovers from the same issue, half-back Oli Leyland has also done his ACL, while star full-back Matt Dufty is out with a fractured eye socket, hooker Danny Walker is still missing with his knee injury and the likes of Dan Russell (loan) and Zane Musgrove are now playing elsewhere.
Prop James Harrison is also missing this week through concussion protocols.
Better news saw the signing from the Salford Red Devils of forward Sam Stone and he is straight into the squad. The other men to come in are young half-back Ewan Irwin, Zack Gardner - who replaces Lindop, and Luke Thomas.
Huddersfield this week completed the short-term signing of scrum-half Matt Frawley from Leeds Rhinos after losing Adam Clune to another injury. That is the only change to the squad who did everything right against Wigan last weekend before falling to the champions at the final hurdle.
Jack Murchie has been released to return to Australia, a move that opened the quota spot for Frawley's arrival on loan.
Handicap 3-way Alternative 1: Huddersfield +10 @ 7/5
If Huddersfield play like they did against Wigan last weekend then this will be a lot closer than many may predict and could even yield a famous away win for the Giants.
They will need the same energy and intensity in the pack, and for Frawley to hit the ground running in his new team.
Warrington have blown hot and cold all season and most recently it had been cold, with a succession of Super League losses around their trip to Wembley. Beating Castleford was their only win in the last five and Burgess will know that this fixture is absolutely must-win.
Wire have had some awful injuries this year and although I feel they should just about win this one, I don't like the handicap and was very impressed by Huddersfield last week.
The Wolves have won their last three home meetings with Huddersfield and I do think that is a factor here. I reckon the 14-point handicap looks generous to Warrington if Huddersfield can back up with another big performance, so I would be tempted to either look at Wire by 1-12 points at 21/10 or the Giants with a start.
The latter gives me the option of a Giants win or a narrow Wire success, and feels like the right way to go this week. Which probably means we are in for a Wolves masterclass.

George Williams anytime tryscorer @ 6/4
I'm sticking with the home side in the tryscorer market and fancy either of the Thewlis brothers to cross for a try at 10/11. I feel like the captain might be due one, however.
George Williams was a good returner for us in this column last year as he seems to go from strength to strength. Williams returned from a bad ankle injury early to play at Wembley and is still unlikely to be 100 per cent, but at 6/4 to score in 80 minutes I feel the England skipper is well worth a look here.
