Warrington's season appears set to end without playoff football, but the Wolves should get back to winning ways this week when struggling Catalans Dragons come to town on Thursday night. (20:00 BST, Sky Sports+)

Warrington had some good moments against Wigan last week but came up short against the champions, while the Dragons suffered their 15th defeat of the season at lowly Huddersfield.

Warrington Wolves vs Catalans Dragons Odds

The Wolves are the heavy favourites to win this clash at 2/9, while the Dragons are 7/2 to pull off an upset. The draw after 80 minutes can be backed at 20/1.

Team News

Sam Burgess makes two changes to his Wire side following defeat last week that left his team with next to no chance of making the playoffs.

Full-back Matt Dufty is the key inclusion, having been left out last week due to an internal disciplinary issue - he was however included in the initial 21-man squad last week.

So the two changes see Connor Wrench back after concussion and young Adam Holroyd also included, with Max Wood and Cai Taylor-Wray the two players to make way.

Catalans boss Joel Tomkins also has two key men back, in Tevita Pangai Jr and Australian Nick Cotric. Pangai is joining Warrington next year so is probably due a big performance.

The two men dropping out are Leo Darrelatour and Tariq Sims.

 Handicap 3-way Alternative 2: Warrington Wolves -16 @ 8/5

The Dragons have now lost their last five games and have only managed six wins all season, so I don't expect this to be a happy trip to the Halliwell Jones.

Warrington showed signs last Friday against Wigan that they are in a league position that does not represent their quality - certainly the thought of a playoffs without George Williams showcasing his talents is a real disappointment.

I expect a Warrington win and I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of statement too, given the frustration that is boiling under at a squad and club who know they should have done so much better this season.

If Dufty plays then that will add some spark, and I thought Williams was brilliant against Wigan on Friday, The atmosphere in the ground was very odd -a mixture of excitement and resignation from fans who know their season is not going to deliver what it has promised.

Warrington -6.5 and Josh Thewlis to score a try @ 6/4

Plenty of options in the try scorer market this week, with the Thewlis brothers Jake and Josh again the key men out wide.

If Dufty plays he is a good tip at 1/1 while Williams is a real danger and can justify his 5/4 odds.

I'm going to go with Josh Thewlis - who scored a terrific intercept try last week, on a double with a Warrington win  over 6.5 points. I would expect both of those individual bets to come in.

If you are tempted by a First Tryscorer bet this week, then we are running Super League Double Delight - so if your pick goes on to score again then we will double your odds!
