Wakefield Trinity vs Hull KR Prediction: Rovers looking to secure League Leaders’ Shield

Wakefield's shock defeat to rivals Castleford last week means they may have to find a way to beat the league leaders Hull KR if they are to retain their place in the Betfred Super League playoff places (kick-off 17:30 BST).
Rovers can secure the League Leaders' Shield if they avoid defeat, but Wakefield now are just a point clear of Hull FC in the race for that final spot in the top six. Read on for our Wakefield Trinity vs Hull KR predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Wakefield boss Daryl Powell makes a couple of changes and both are in the same position. Wingers Lachlan Walmsley and Matty Russell make way for Ky Rodwell and Noah High.
This is likely to mean a slight reshuffle, with Oliver Pratt moving from centre to wing being one obvious option.
Rovers travel with reinforcements after their win in the derby.
Flying winger Joe Burgess missed the win over Hull FC with a calf issue but he returns to the squad, while centre Oliver Gildart is included for the first time since Magic Weekend.
Prop Sauaso Sue is back after suffering a very early injury in the defeat to Leeds a couple of weeks ago.
Dropping out this week are Harvey Horne and Cobie Wainhouse.
Wakefield Trinity vs Hull KR Odds
Wakefield can be backed at 13/5 to win in 80 minutes, the draw is 18/1 and Hull KR are 1/3 favourites.
Handicap 3-way: Hull KR -10 @ 11/10
This feels like must-win for Wakefield and they could scarcely have a worse opponent to be facing this week. That defeat to Castleford in the derby felt very costly, and with Hull FC and Warrington kicking off at the same time this weekend, Trinity won't be expecting any favours from the woeful Wolves.
I expect a response from Wakefield but I also feel that the Robins are too good.
It was a terrific contest when these two sides last met on this ground, with Wakefield producing a performance that should have yielded a victory, but somehow brought a two-point defeat.
That was way back in round two and in truth KR had not got going then. So while I expect a similar ferocity from the hosts, I feel like Willie Peters' men are far better equipped to deal with it and should see out victory by a couple of scores.
This time of the season is all about momentum and the flip side of that is that if you take the foot off the gas you can be punished. We saw that on Thursday night, as Leeds Rhinos sought a win to keep up their hopes of a top-two finish, but ended up with a shock home defeat by Catalans that could now see the Rhinos slip out of the top four altogether.
I don't expect Rovers to take any chances and they should seal the League Leaders' Shield in West Yorkshire.

Jack Broadbent anytime tryscorer @ 6/4
We are offering Super League Double Delight for this fixture, so if your player scores the first try of the match and then goes on to score again, Betfred will double your first try scorer price.
In the anytime scorer market, Burgess is the shortest odds to return with a try at 4/5 with playmaker Mikey Lewis 10/11.
I think that Wakefield will score in this game and would be looking at Tom Johnstone to achieve a milestone with his 100th Wakefield try. The England winger is 6/5 to do so.
But my tip is again one of Hull KR's unsung heroes. Jack Broadbent has played a variety of positions through this season and has excelled in all of them.
He is an enticing 6/4 to cross in this one.
