The Wests Tigers have got a real job on this Friday as they look to end their three-game losing run against a Canberra Raiders side who could go top of the NRL Premiership with a win in Campbelltown (20:00 local, 11:00 BST).

Wests could be right back in the picture for top-eight footy if they pick up the two points, but Ricky Stuart’s troops have to go in as massive favourites. Below you will find my Tigers vs Raiders predictions, complete with latest team news and Betfred’s match odds.

Tigers vs Raiders Odds

Raiders are, of course, the big favourites with the money line showing them at 1/3. The Tigers are 12/5 for the win in 80 minutes, with the draw available at 20/1.

Digging into the handicap markets, the standard two-way bracket allows Wests an 8.5-point start. Under those conditions, you can get the Raiders at 10/11 while the Tigers are 5/6 to keep things within that handicap.

Team News

The Tigers welcome back Fonua Pole following a knee injury which ruled him out of three matches. He comes in at prop, with Sione Fainu switching to the interchange bench.

Alex Twal is another returnee having completed concussion protocols to be included at loose forward. Charlie Murray and Kit Laulilii miss out, with Tallyn Da Silva among the subs.

The number big news for the Raiders is a milestone moment in coach Ricky Stuart’s household as he hands an NRL debut to his son Jed on the wing.

The 23-year-old winger has been 18th man on a number of occasions in 2025, but Savelio Tamale’s knee injury means he finally gets his chance.

Having played in Wednesday night’s Origin clash, Hudson Young is named to participate in a second game in three nights.

Rugby League Odds

Raiders -14.5 @ 13/8

I reckon it’s a case of by how many rather than who. The Raiders are far too good for the Tigers at this point in time, and while Wests are only two points off the play-off pace, they are one of the teams trending downwards rather than upwards.

On the face of it, running out Young 48 hours on from his Origin appearance in Perth seems like an act of desperation. But in truth, the Green Machine have more than enough resources in the back row to get him out of Dodge with the game won and time to spare.

I see there being a few scores in this one as the Raiders have always had a tendency to be involved in to-and-fro attacking contests since Stuart took charge.

Their average win this season has also come in at 13.3 points, so I think there’s great value in the 13/8 price for them to go just beyond that against a struggling Wests.

Raiders to win both halves – Yes @ 6/4

This can be seen as either doubling down or backing up, but whichever way you see it I think this is a game where the Raiders’ superiority will be clear for most of the contest.

Stuart has high standards, and he’ll be insistent that his side don’t take their foot off the gas when they get ahead. And while Wests have improved to an extent under Benji Marshall, their current skid has shown a soft underbelly.

They might have improved since that 64-0 loss to the Melbourne Storm in round 10, but they haven’t got over the line in the next three games and I can see them being easily second best in Campbelltown.
