The traditional Good Friday Betfred Super League derbies kick off with champions Hull KR hosting Hull FC at Craven Park fresh from a morale-boosting thumping of St Helens last week (12:30 BST, Sky Sports Action).

The Robins ran in nine tries against Saints and will welcome their rivals who almost let slip a 22-0 half-time lead in a thrilling win over Catalans Dragons. Here are my Hull KR vs Hull FC predictions, the latest team news and Betfred's match odds.

Team News

Hull KR make two changes to their 21-man squad having allowed two players to leave on loan this week.

So Bill Leyland and Jordan Dezaria drop out having joined St Helens with their places going to Harvey Horne and Karl Lawton, who returns from suspension.

Hull FC have mixed news, with one key man ruled out but others poised to return.

Forward Brad Fash suffered a head knock against the Dragons and misses out while observing concussion protocols. Also dropping out are youngsters Lennon Clark, Will Kirby and Ben Johnson as head coach John Cartwright makes four changes.

Half-back Cade Cust returns from suspension, with veteran Zak Hardaker having produced a Man of the Match display out of position last week.

Centre Ryan Westerman is also fit to return, and interestingly Aiden Sezer is included as he recovers from a pectoral injury. Joe Batchelor is named in the squad too after a six-week absence, with the Hull selection suddenly starting to look much stronger.

Handicap 3-way: Hull FC +16 @ 20/21

We grabbed a welcome double last weekend as both of our Hull FC tips landed in that epic 24-20 win over Catalans Dragons at the MKM Stadium.

The Black and Whites raced into a 22-0 half-time lead which looked like destroying our Catalans +6 handicap steer, but the French side justified our good faith with a superb response, as star full-back Charlie Staines drove the fightback with a 5/4 anytime try. Anything like that kind of entertainment over the Easter weekend and we are in for a treat.

Notwithstanding their thrilling World Club Challenge win, the champions have endured a difficult start to the 2026 season. Indeed, the Robins really needed that big win over Saints after a run of just one victory in four, with confirmation that head coach Willie Peters is to leave at the end of the season perhaps explaining this surprise period of struggle. With the news now out in the open I would not be at all surprised to see Rovers rediscover some of the form that saw them land all four available trophies.

This, though, feels like a derby that KR have to win to launch their season. It will need a big performance however, especially if Hull can reproduce their first-half performance against Catalans in which they dominated possession, which in turn saw the scoreboard tick over at a very swift pace. And it will be fascinating to see how the Rovers players respond to the news that they are now playing for a coach who will be leaving the club.

Last year's meetings were dominated by the Robins, who won both Betfred Super League clashes by 14 points and the Challenge Cup quarter-final by 16. FC have actually lost the last six of these derbies dating back to their last win in 2023, but this feels like a timely opportunity to put that right.

My instinct, though, is that we see Rovers start to come good, and I think that Peters' men will build on last week's destruction of Saints with another win here. The handicap is 16, which feels a little generous in a derby. Given how the champions have been playing, and the 14-point margin in the last two meetings, I am going to side with the visitors on the handicap.

Lewis Martin Anytime Tryscorer @ 6/5

Both of these sides are in fine scoring form, which means plenty of decent options in the anytime market this weekend. The Robins saw both Mikey Lewis and winger Joe Burgess run in hat-tricks against the sorry Saints and are good possibilities to be on the mark in the derby. Burgess is 1/2 and Lewis 4/7 to score during the game.

We are also offering our Super League Double Delight in this one, so if you fancy a first scorer punt then we will double your price if he scores again. For Lewis, that would mean a 5/1 bet on a first try becoming 10/1 if he adds another.

For Hull FC I'm tempted to wait and see who starts in the halves, given the excellent performances of Hardaker and Jake Arthur last week, combined with the return to the squad of first-choice pair Cust and Sezer.

One thing is for certain though, and that is that out wide the Black and Whites have one of the sharpest finishers in the game. Lewis Martin topped the scoring charts last season and after a slow start to 2026 is now finding his form with four tries in his last five games. He could have had more against Catalans last week too, and with KR having conceded 48 points across their last three games you sense that opponents are having way more joy against their defence this year.
