Bradford Bulls vs Toulouse Prediction: Ashall-Bott the wise bet in Bulls win

Bradford Bulls will look to win back-to-back home games on their return to the Betfred Super League on Sunday afternoon. But they're coming up against fellow new boys Toulouse Olympique, who have won both of their matches so far (15:00 GMT, Sky Sports+).
The French side have proved a surprise early-season package but may have their work cut out this week against a Bulls side hungry to re-establish Odsal as a rugby league fortress. My Bradford Bulls vs Toulouse predictions, the latest team news and Betfred's match odds follow below.

Team News
The Bulls have French opposition for the second week in a row and will be confident of another victory given the manner of their triumph over Catalans Dragons last weekend.
Bradford had two-try Waqa Blake and captain Joe Mellor named in the Team of the Week after their impressive showings against the Dragons, and both will be key men again this weekend.
Head coach Kurt Haggerty is boosted by the return from injury of giant winger Guy Armitage, and he is named in an initial 20-man squad. Dropping out from the Catalans game are Joe Keyes and Ebon Scurr.
Toulouse name a strong 21-man squad as Sylvain Houles' men bid to make it a perfect three wins from three. Key men Jake Shorrocks, James Roumanos and Anthony Munico are all included, with Romeo Tropis and Trevor Chiffoleau making way.
Bradford Bulls vs Toulouse Odds
The Bulls are big 1/2 favourites to add to last week's win, with Toulouse 9/5 to continue their faultless start. The draw is a 14/1 shot.
Bradford give up a 7.5-point start in the two-way handicap market, with a 5/6 price on them overcoming the difference. Toulouse are 10/11 to make the most of the leg-up.
Handicap 3-way Bradford -8 @ 11/10
This is a fascinating battle between two of the new teams in the top flight and two of the best sides from last season's Betfred Championship. The Bulls have won eight of their last nine games at Bartercard Odsal but in Toulouse they face an in-form team who have carried through the momentum from their Championship Grand Final win in October.
I wrote last week that a muddy Odsal in February would be something that Catalans could not really do much to prepare for, and so that proved in what was a shock 28-10 win for the Bulls. On paper therefore, Bradford should win this, but few teams will want to face Olympique right now given the early form they have found in 2026.
Wins over Castleford and Wakefield have the French side as surprise early pacesetters, but I feel this will be their toughest challenge so far.
A successful season for Bradford is likely to be built on a strong home record. Odsal has always been a unique, hostile environment and that certainly played a part in the win last week. I would be a little concerned with how the Bulls let Catalans back into the game after half-time, but so good were they in the first half that it didn't really matter.
Toulouse play with great intensity and in the likes of Reubenn Rennie and Olly Ashall-Bott have great try threat too.
This game is a flip of a coin for me, with Betfred offering Toulouse an eight-point start on the handicap. That does tempt me given the no-fear approach that they are bringing to Super League, but having watched Bradford tear Catalans apart I can't confidently back against them this week.
As such the Bulls are my pick to hand Toulouse their first defeat of the season, and I am going to trust the handicap on this one.

Olly Ashall-Bott Anytime Tryscorer @ 6/4
We came up trumps in our try selection for the Bulls game last week. I liked the form of Catalans' Australian half-back Toby Sexton and we went for him to grab his first of the season at a juicy 3/1. No consolation for the Dragons in defeat of course, but Sexton did indeed score to justify our backing.
I'm going to stick with a similar formula therefore this week in picking one of the main attacking threats from the visiting team for that bit of extra value.
I'm beginning to bore myself a little bit in extolling the attacking virtues of Toulouse full-back Ashall-Bott, but at 6/4 for an anytime try he is my selection again this week whether Toulouse get anything out of the game or not.
For the Bulls I am not looking too much further than their outside backs. Wingers Ethan Ryan and Blake are both 10/11, while the returning Guy Armitage may be of slightly more interest at 5/4.
