Storm vs Knights Prediction: 9/4 Price Boost the feature bet in battle of form teams

Two form teams collide in the NRL Premiership on Friday when the Melbourne Storm host the Newcastle Knights at AAMI Park (6pm local, 9am BST, Watch NRL).
Melbourne are upwardly mobile once again after a horror run of form, but their three wins in four are one less than Newcastle’s perfect month of May. Read on for my Storm vs Knights predictions, the latest team news and Betfred’s match odds.
Storm vs Knights Betting Tips
- Price Boost: Storm to Win & Over 48.5 Points in the Match @ 9/4 (was 2/1)
- Dom Young Anytime Tryscorer @ 4/5

The Storm are fancied for the win, with Betfred slating the home side at 8/11 and an implied probability of 57.9%. Newcastle are 13/10, and the draw in regulation time is 14/1.
Team News
Craig Bellamy has to go without Nick Meaney, who is ruled out with a calf injury, so Manaia Waitere is included in the centres.
Harry Grant will start this time after coming off the bench on short rest against the Roosters following his State of Origin performance. Trent Toelau switches with the Maroons hooker and so will be available as an interchange option.
Justin Holbrook names Fletcher Sharpe as the Knights five-eighth in the absence of Sandon Smith, who has calf problems. Fletcher Hunt comes in to replace Sharpe in the outside backs.
Thomas Cant, Cody Hopwood and Francis Manuleleua are included on the bench.
Price Boost: Storm to Win & Over 48.5 Points in the Match @ 9/4 (was 2/1)
After back-to-back home wins, the Storm are now 3-3 at AAMI Park in 2026 despite their horrific run of seven straight losses from March to May.
The announcement of Bellamy’s health issues has proved to have a galvanising effect, and I think they’ll have too much for the Knights here.
It could be a high-scoring contest though, especially considering the firepower of the Knights’ Greg Marzhew and Dom Young, who have 29 tries between them already this season.
So Betfred’s Price Boost of 9/4 from 2/1 for Melbourne to triumph in a tussle featuring 49 or more points looks good to me.

Dom Young Anytime Tryscorer @ 4/5
While 4/5 is normally a price I’d look to avoid, the value here is quite something.
The England winger has 14 tries to his name so far in ’26, with only Thomas Jenkins, Alex Johnston and team-mate Marzhew boasting more.
So the implied probability of 55.6% appears very low, making another try for the Dewsbury-born 24-year-old a very appealing bet.
