Salford Red Devils vs Hull KR Prediction: League leaders visit a club in crisis

With both sides having enjoyed a week off, crisis club Salford return home for the first time since their win over Castleford three weeks ago, but welcome the hottest team in the Betfred Super League right now in Hull KR (20:00).
Willie Peters' Betfred Challenge Cup winners lead the way at the top of the table despite a recent blip, and few would bet against a big win for the visitors at the Salford Community Stadium.

Salford Red Devils vs Hull KR Odds
Salford are 28/1 to win the match, a reflection of exactly where the club find themselves. Hull KR's status as table-toppers also accounts for their 1/500 price, though that is still a huge odds-on price. The draw is priced at 80/1.
Handicap 3-way Hull KR -46 @ 1/1
46 points is a big start but I still struggle to back Salford even with that hefty handicap. The home win three weeks ago had been coming and the Red Devils have been unfortunate not to beat Warrington prior to that.
The first half in their last outing at Leeds also showed promise before Paul Rowley's men fell away badly to end up on the wrong side of a 42-6 scoreline as the Rhinos ran in 32 unanswered second-half points.
Rovers meanwhile looked to have recovered from their mini-blip which has brought defeats this month to Leeds and Leigh. The win in France was comfortable and this Salford fixture appears to be the perfect game to get their juices flowing again.
If Salford can start like they did against Leeds then they have a chance at keeping this to something like a 30-point loss, but in truth I look at the two squads and fear that it could be pretty ugly.

Hull KR to win both halves @ 11/10
You struggle to find value in the try scorer market when teams are playing Salford, with all of our usual suspects very short odds to cross the whitewash.
Jack Broadbent has been our most regular returner for the Robins and he is a decent enough shout at 8/11, having scored two against Catalans last time out.
I like Broadbent or Arthur Mourgue at 5/6 to carve through the Red Devils defence, but I am actually going to look into the forward pack for a little extra value,
The versatile James Batchelor is one of those players who just keeps getting better, and he or Rhyse Martin look like good options with both available at 5/4.
