Betfred Super League leaders Hull KR head to Leigh Leopards for one of the ties of the round on Saturday afternoon (15:00, live on BBC iPlayer) with Rovers licking their wounds after an unexpected defeat last weekend and the Leopards buoyed by their victory over the champions.

Our rugby league expert George Riley shares his Leigh Leopards vs Hull KR predictions, complete with the latest odds and team news.

Leigh Leopards vs Hull KR Odds

Despite defeat last time out, Hull KR are 4/9 favourites to claim another two points in their bid for Betfred Super League glory. Leigh are 15/8 to cause another upset, while the draw is available at 20/1.

Joe Burgess and Tom Davies head the tryscorer markets, at 7/1 to score first and 10/11 anytime.

Team News

Rovers boss Willie Peters makes two changes to his squad following last week's home defeat against the Rhinos.

The key bit of team news is the absence through concussion protocols of star man Mikey Lewis. Danny Richardson is included after the end to his two-week loan spell at Salford - he was brilliant last Friday night for the Red Devils in their home defeat by Warrington.

The other change is more positive, with James Batchelor returning from a throat injury, and he takes the place of Harvey Horne.

Leigh boss Adrian Lam makes one change after the devastating loss for the rest of the season of his star full-back David Armstrong. Will Brough is the man to come in.

Still out for Leigh are Darnell McIntosh, Robbie Mulhern and Aaron Pene.

Hull KR -6 @ 1/1

So it will feel a little different for the Robins this week, to be heading into a game looking to bounce back from defeat. Many saw that Leeds win in east Hull as a shock last week, and let's be honest it was a surprise.

But followers of this column may well have been backing the Rhinos - in fact it turns out we even erred on the side of caution by taking Leeds on the handicap, as they won the match outright, and of course the in-form Lachie Miller obliged by justifying our selection to score a try in 80 minutes as he proved a 9/4 match-winner.

This week Rovers are without their talisman Lewis against a team who has just beaten Wigan. And that is a pretty tough ask.

But as always I side with instinct over logic and I feel like we will see a Robins response. They can win without Mikey Lewis as they have done before, and the loss for Leigh of Armstrong is just as big.

I'm not confident enough in the away side to go big on the handicap, but I feel a six-point start can be overturned.

Rovers beat Leigh 30-0 at home in March but I can't imagine we are going to be looking at a scoreline anything like that.

Arthur Mourgue - Anytime Tryscorer @ 6/4

Given that I am backing an away win it makes sense to look at KR in the anytime tryscorer market this week too.

Jack Broadbent has been my go-to selection and has done really well for us this season.

He is available at 1/1 but for a little more value I'm looking at livewire Frenchman Arthur Mourgue.

The former Catalans flyer is a 6/4 chance to cross for a try in 80 minutes, and given the absence of the covering Armstrong I do wonder whether Mourgue will find room to exploit behind enemy lines.
