After finally starting to look something like their heavyweight former selves, Leeds suffered a surprise setback in defeat at St Helens last week, so will hope to bounce straight back against the hot or cold Leigh Leopards when 4th meets 3rd at AMT Headingley. (Kick-off 8pm)

Leigh have won their last three to leapfrog the Rhinos so will arrive with confidence to serve up a cracker.

Leeds Rhinos vs Leigh Leopards Odds

Leeds have won eight of their last 10 meetings with Leigh and they are 1/3 to come out on top in this clash. The Leopards are 12/5 to take the victory, while the draw is marketed at 20/1.

Team News

Leeds head coach Brad Arthur makes two changes to the squad beaten on the road at St Helens last Friday night.

NRL-bound forward Morgan Gannon has a shin injury and misses out, while youngster Ethan Clark-Wood also makes way.

The two men to come in are youngsters Alfie Edgell and Presley Cassell who would be in line for a debut in the unlikely event of being selected in the matchday 17.

Gannon's spot is most likely to go to forward Cooper Jenkins, unless Arthur restructures and throws Edgell on to the bench for an injection of pace.

Leigh boss Adrian Lam names just a 20-man squad following a hard-fought win away to Catalans Dragons, with Alec Tuitavake the man to drop out through suspension.

Full-back David Armstrong returned from injury in style last week and is okay to go again.

Leeds Rhinos 1-12 points @ 19/10

Arthur was angry with his players for their under-performance at St Helens last week. Few - even our resident St Helens-backer Paul Sculthorpe - tipped Leeds to lose that game, but in truth they were way off colour in every department. I'm told defeat for Saints could have been bad news for head coach Paul Wellens, but he lives to fight another day.

I can't foresee Leeds being allowed to serve up that dross again a week later, and am tipping a big response from the blue and amber on home soil.

Leigh have won three on the spin and they have all been close - 26-12 in the south of France last weekend, 24-20 at Wakefield the week before and 28-24 at Huddersfield the week before that. So this is a fourth away game in a row too which is pretty tough on the Leopards, but can they complete the clean sweep of wins before back-to-back home games in July against the top two Wigan and Hull KR?

Key to their hopes will be David Armstrong once again, with the try-scoring full-back a revelation since his arrival in Super League.

I think this will be a tight game - the Rhinos' success this year has come from tight games built on a resolute defence, and then the dynamic finishing and creativity of Man of Steel contender Jake Connor, Riley Lumb and Lachie Miller.

Those players hold the key for Leeds, and I am backing the home side to win a tight contest by between 1-12 points.

Lachie Miller anytime tryscorer @ 6/5

I'm backing Leeds so it makes sense to look at their main strike threats for tries this week.

Riley Lumb is the obvious choice, with the young flyer always good for a try on the left wing at 4/5. Veteran winger Ryan Hall is the same odds and will have a point to prove after his intercept effort went wrong last week.

But I'm looking at either full-back Lachie Miller to break through at 6/5, or for the Leopards it has to be Armstrong at 6/4.
