Hull KR should finally clinch the League Leaders' Shield on Thursday night (20:00 BST, Sky Sports+), after being made to wait a week by a poor performance in a shock defeat to Wakefield.

There should be no repeat this week, though, against a Warrington side who look like they are already on holiday after one of their worst seasons in years, and on a run of one win in eight games. Below are my Hull KR vs Warrington Wolves predictions, alongside team news and match odds.

Team News

There is no knee-jerk reaction from Willie Peters to Rovers' surprise loss at Wakefield, with the Robins boss making just the one change to his squad for this final game of the regular season.

Joe Burgess is out of contention with his calf injury, so he drops out of the 21-man squad altogether. His place in the 21 goes to goal-kicking second row Rhyse Martin, as the former Leeds Rhinos man makes his return from a two-match ban.

Key prop Sauaso Sue should be closer to returning, too - he was named in the squad after injury last week but was not selected.

Warrington would do well to find 21 individuals willing to fight for the badge at the moment, judging by the last few months of performances.

Boss Sam Burgess only names 20 players in fact, with a key absentee in England captain George Williams, who has missed the last couple of games with injury.

Also absent is forward Lachlan Fitzgibbon, who has picked up a two-match ban, while Luke Yates is also suspended.

Matt Dufty remains a conundrum. The star full-back has had a fallout with Burgess, I'm told, to the extent that even though he was named as 18th man last week, he was told by Burgess not to even travel with the squad.

The omission from the squad of Stefan Ratchford means that he has now played his final game before retirement.

Hull KR vs Warrington Wolves Odds

Hull KR are 1/40 to win on Thursday, with the visitors 12/1, or a 7.7% chance, and the draw 25/1.

Handicap 3-way Alternative 2: Hull KR -40 @ 13/8

Hull KR are 1/40 in a two-horse race against this year's Betfred Challenge Cup finalists. That underlines the extent to which the Wolves have gone from heavyweights to shambles in no time at all.

And make no mistake, these odds are accurate. There is no chance that Warrington take anything from this game.

This is the perfect game to wrap up the season for Hull KR, more so given the shock of last week's defeat and the manner of their performance. This is a free hit against a team completely disjointed and devoid of passion or motivation.

A 36-point handicap may appear hefty, but I can see Rovers passing it. Wire have conceded 34 points in each of their last two games against Hull FC and Leigh, and I would not be surprised to see them hit for a half-century in this one.

Rhyse Martin anytime tryscorer @ 9/4

If this is the points frenzy that I am anticipating, then there should be a vast choice of options in the anytime scorer market.

So the trick is to find the value. My usual tips, Jack Broadbent and Arthur Mourgue, are just 1/2 and 1/1 respectively, while Mikey Lewis is the hot tip to cross at 1/3.

As usual in games like this, I tend to look at scoring options in the pack for a little more market value.

It will depend on team selection, of course, but if Rhyse Martin comes straight back in, then I think he is a great shout this week to register points.

A second-row who effectively plays as an extra centre when in possession, 9/4 looks like the best value on offer from any KR player in the market this week for me.
