George riley super league ball

A huge game at the MKM Stadium sees sixth-placed Hull FC look for more home comforts against high-flying Leigh Leopards, who themselves need to bounce back from defeat against Leeds Rhinos last week (17:30, Sky Sports+).

Leigh boss Adrian Lam was fuming at that Rhinos loss, and his side will likely need to win this one if they are to keep hold of third spot in the table. Below are my Hull FC vs Leigh Leopards predictions.

Hull FC vs Leigh Leopards Betting Tips

  • Handicap 3-way : Leigh Leopards -4 @ 21/20

Team News

Hull boss John Cartwright is boosted by the return to fitness of half-back Aiden Sezer, who was flying at the start of the season.

The former Leeds man has been sidelined by a shoulder injury but is named in the squad this week. Also included after injury is forward Jordan Lane, who broke his arm in the derby earlier this year.

Ed Chamberlain is ruled out with a rib injury, while Will Gardiner comes in for Jack Charles in the other change.

Rugby League Odds

Leigh have the luxury of naming an unchanged squad, and I wouldn't expect to see any major changes to the side that lined up against Leeds last week.

Hull FC vs Leigh Leopards Odds

Hull are 6/4, or a 40% chance, to win, while Leigh are 4/7, and the draw is 18/1.

Handicap 3-way: Leigh Leopards -4 @ 21/20

Leigh need a result this week badly, and I am expecting a really entertaining game. Hull FC have been great to watch but have really struggled at home, notwithstanding last week's 14-try demolition of a Salford side who would be put down if they were an animal at the vets.

I'm expecting a big response from the Leopards after coming unstuck at home to Leeds last week, and they know that another defeat will most likely see the Rhinos leapfrog them into the top four. A win, however, could reignite hopes of even finishing in the top two, given Hull KR and Wigan are playing each other.

It's a tight contest to call - as evidenced by the four-point handicap - and a big start can lay the platform for either side to go on and win the game.

So, for me, it just comes down to who is the better team right now, and in my opinion, that is Leigh.

Hull FC won this fixture away at Leigh 26-12, so this feels like the perfect time for the Leopards to exact their revenge and get back on track.

Umyla Hanley anytime try @ 6/4

Some good options for returns in the try scorer market this week, and some of our most trusted ones, too. I have been backing Lewis Martin and Umyla Hanley in Hull and Leigh games most of this season, and both have maintained their prolific form.

Hull's top scorer Martin is 6/5 to cross this week, while Hanley returned for us against Leeds last week and is 6/4 to cross again.

Hanley, for me, is one of the rising superstars of Super League, fantastic to watch and versatile enough to be dangerous at either centre or on the wing.

Hanley is my man again this week.
