Dragons vs Sea Eagles Prediction: Foran to follow one huge win with another

After a stunning start to his NRL coaching career last week against the shell-shocked Dolphins, Kieran Foran looks to go two-from-two with the Manly Sea Eagles when they face the St George-Illawarra Dragons at WIN Stadium on Friday (18:00 local, 09:00 BST, Watch NRL).
The former half-back delivered an incredible turnaround following the sacking of Anthony Seibold, and next up come the only remaining winless side in the comp. My Dragons vs Sea Eagles predictions can be found below, along with full team news and Betfred’s latest odds.

Manly are favourites, and fairly healthy ones, after recording their first win of the campaign in Round 5. You can get 4/11 with Betfred for the Sea Eagles to fly back to the Northern Beaches with the two points.
The Dragons are a 23/10 shot, implying a 30.3% probability, while it’s 18/1 about the draw.
Handicap-wise, Manly give up a 7.5-point edge in return for lengthened odds of 5/6. St George are 20/21 to make the most of the two-score start.
Team News
With David Fale suspended, Setu Tu is back in the starting line-up for the Dragons. There’s no Clint Gutherson either due to a hamstring issue, so Tyrell Sloan comes in at full-back.
Under-pressure coach Shane Flanagan gets a boost from within his own family, with son Kyle returning from concussion to wear the number-seven jumper. Dan Atkinson shifts to stand-off.
Foran has Jason Saab ready to go following suspension, with Clayton Faulalo set to make way.
Otherwise, it will be the same 17 which battered the Dolphins 52-18, with Josh Feledy moving down to allow Faulalo to start from the bench.
Sea Eagles by 13+ @ 6/4
I said last week that I wasn’t willing to back Foran’s Manly until I’d seen what they had to offer under the new rookie coach.
But now that I’ve seen them obliterate the Dolphins, I’m more than happy to tip a big Sea Eagles win against the worst team in the league so far.
Manly looked magnificent last week, and we just haven’t seen the Red V click at all yet in 2026.
Boss Flanagan could really feel the heat if they lose again, and I just can’t see them holding the visitors close so the 6/4 about a three-score Manly win looks a no-brainer to me.

Over 24.5 First-Half Total Points @ 21/20
One thing we know of the Sea Eagles over many a season is that they can really let loose when in form but will also give up a try or three.
And that ought to be the way of things from the off in Wollongong, so the Over on 24.5 points in the first half is a tasty prospect at 21/20.
Even when not conceding before the break last week, Manly racked up 28 first-half points all by themselves.
