Italy host Ukraine in a Group C Euro 2024 qualifier on Tuesday night. We run you through the markets that we feel offer great value in this fixture.

Italy vs Ukraine Betting Tips

  • Both teams to score – 11/10
  • Double chance (Draw or Ukraine) – 8/5

Team news

Italy have been hit with an injury crisis in recent days. Federico Chiesa and Lorenzo Pellegrini pulled out before the Azzurri’s draw with North Macedonia on Saturday. Now manager Luciano Spalletti will be without defender Gianluca Mancini and Matteo Politano, who have both left the camp through injury.

Nikolai Matvienko is the only doubt for Ukraine on Tuesday after he was forced off at half-time in Saturday’s draw with England.

Both teams to score at 11/10

Italy and Ukraine both experienced 1-1 draws at the weekend and there is plenty of quality in both squads heading into this fixture. Italy currently sit three points behind Ukraine with a game in hand, so there is a lot at stake for Spalletti’s side in this fixture, especially after they failed to pick up three points against North Macedonia last time out.

Ukraine gave a good account of themselves against England as they frustrated the Three Lions. They scored the opening goal of the game through Oleksandr Zinchenko and were able to create some other promising openings in the match.

This, along with Italy boasting a prolific goalscorer in Ciro Immobile in their forward line, makes both teams to score a very solid selection for this match.

Double chance (Draw or Ukraine) at 8/5

This may feel like a bit of a risk considering that the match is going to be held on Italian soil, but Ukraine have shown that they are a force to be reckoned with throughout this qualifying campaign. As previously mentioned, they caused top-of-the-table England a lot of problems over the weekend and they will bring that same intensity against Italy.

Italy’s failure to beat North Macedonia, while great for the latter, has begged questions of the current European champions. They will need to be significantly better if they are to make it to Germany next summer to defend their crown, but it is hard to see them getting an instant response on Tuesday.

Ukraine are fired up and know how to set themselves up for each opponent at a time and they will know where exactly to hurt Italy in this clash.
