US PGA Championship In-Play Betting Tips: Who comes out on top?

It took its time, but the 107th PGA Championship finally burst into life on Saturday. However, as several players threatened to position themselves in the ideal spot, it’s world #1 Scottie Scheffler who takes a commanding lead into today’s final round at Quail Hollow.
Our expert golf tipster Jamie Worsley has assessed the current state of play and given us his picks for Sunday's action. Check out his US PGA Championship in-play betting tips below...

Leaderboard after round three:
1st – Scottie Scheffler (-11)
2nd – Alex Noren (-8)
T3 – J.T. Poston (-7)
T3 – Davis Riley (-7)
T5 – Jhonattan Vegas (-6)
T5 – Si Woo Kim (-6)
T5 – Jon Rahm (-6)
The tournament has been crying out for some star power at the top of the leaderboard and that’s exactly what we got yesterday. Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm each hit the front during the round, but by the end of play, it was Scottie Scheffler who assumed solo first place. Producing a sublime ball-striking display to fire seven birdies and an eagle on his way to a six-under-par round, and a three-shot lead in the process.
Scheffler has played excellent golf for most of this season but has had to watch on while Rory McIlroy deservedly grabbed all of the headlines. He’ll want to see this out in style to claim a third major title and remind everybody just why he’s been head and shoulders above everyone else in the game in recent years.
Perhaps more impressive than Scottie’s incredible display was that of his nearest challenger, Alex Noren. The Swede is making just his second start of the season—having been out of action for seven months due to a range of injury problems—and after shooting a five-under 66 on Saturday, he gets the honour of playing in the final group alongside Scheffler.
In a week of surprise contenders, Davis Riley and J.T. Poston both moved into 3rd place after recording respective rounds of 67 and 68—each chasing a first major top-10 finish.
Of the players in 5th-place: 36-hole leader, Jhonny Vegas battled admirably after a sluggish start; Si Woo Kim did well to stay in the mix despite enduring an off day with the driver; and Jon Rahm climbed the leaderboard with a four-under 67, briefly flirting with the lead until Scottie stamped his authority on proceedings.
It looked for all the world that Bryson DeChambeau would be a serious contender heading into Sunday. He didn’t put a foot wrong to go five-under thru 15 holes, but following a sloppy bogey at 16 with a double on 17—after finding the water with his tee shot—he has an almighty task on his hands to get back in contention, now six off the lead.
In truth that is something that could be said about everyone in the field. A three-shot lead is not unassailable, but we saw just what Scheffler is capable of doing from the front on his latest start in the CJ CUP Byron Nelson—where he won by eight strokes—and with a bright, warm and breezy day unlikely to cause any chaos, it’s difficult to not see the world #1 hoisting the Wanamaker Trophy at the end of today’s final round.
SELECTIONS
2 pts Bryson DeChambeau (W/O Scottie Scheffler) @ 6/1
1 pt Tony Finau (W/O Scottie Scheffler) each-way (1/4 3 places) @ 20/1
I fully expect Scottie Scheffler to cruise to victory tonight. The real conundrum is likely to be who can run our world #1 the closest, with 21 players sitting within five shots of 2nd place.
With that, I’ve dipped into the “without Scheffler” market and selected two players who I think could occupy that runner-up spot at the end of the final round.
2 pts Bryson DeChambeau (W/O Scottie Scheffler) @ 6/1
Bryson DeChambeau makes all kinds of sense here from three shots back of Alex Noren in 2nd. He has looked unsurprisingly comfortable at this venue all week, and was especially excellent thru 15 holes yesterday, before giving three shots back on the “Green Mile”.
The driver has been strong, ranking 3rd off-the-tee, and he’s also looked sharp on and around the greens. His iron play has been the weakness, though he was on for his best showing of the week in approach before he found the water on the par 3 17th yesterday—something I’m hoping he will be able to put to the back of his mind today.
He’ll have been desperately disappointed to finish in the way he did on Saturday. That being said, Bryson doesn’t lack for confidence, nor mental strength, and I fully expect him to bounce back. Although whatever he does may not be enough to trouble Scheffler, I can’t see him being far away from that runner-up spot.

1 pt Tony Finau (W/O Scottie Scheffler) each-way (1/4 3 places) @ 20/1
Tony Finau also sits three shots back of 2nd place on -5. His tee-to-green performance has gradually improved with each round this week, and if he can find a little more on the greens today, he looks set to finish strong.
He struggled to keep the ball in-play off the tee in round one, but due to the quality of the rest of his game he was still able to shoot one-under. He’s had much better control over the driver in the last two rounds, which has helped him towards those upgraded two-under-par rounds on Friday and Saturday. Ranking 2nd in this field in approach and 4th from tee-to-green, it’s all about getting that putter to behave to make the most of the chances he’s creating.
Finau was in a very similar position to this in last year’s US Open, trailing Bryson DeChambeau by six strokes entering the final round. He shot his best round of the week there—and the joint-best round of anyone on day four—which moved him up from 7th to 3rd on the leaderboard. I’m hopeful that he can direct that same energy into this fourth round at Quail Hollow.
