Our golf tipster Jamie Worsley is a busy boy this week, with multiple articles including his Jamie's full in-depth preview and The Open Championship 2025 Golf Tips here.

We've also tasked him with checking out some of the more niche specials markets and he's done just that with two nice looking angles in his The Open Championship 2025 Betting Tips below...

The Open Championship Odds

3 pts Jon Rahm (Top 5) @ 11/4

Jon Rahm is trending nicely in the majors this season, and in an event at which he’s excelled in recent years, he was firmly on the radar in my outright preview. He didn’t quite make it there, but there looks a bit of value about his top-five price and I’m happy to jump on here.

Rahm hasn’t won on LIV this year, though nor has he really put a foot wrong. He’s finished no worse than 11th in his 10 starts and has twice finished 2nd: in Riyadh at the start of the year, and last week at Valderrama. More importantly, he’s looked much better in the majors this season compared to last, recording finishes of 14th in The Masters, 8th in the PGA Championship, and 7th in the US Open.

The Spaniard hit the ball well enough in the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, ranking 13th in ball-striking. He was even stronger when we last saw him in major championship action, ranking 2nd at Oakmont in the US Open, and he was also 2nd in greens-in-regulation that week. This represents only a small part of impressive season-long stats, ranking 4th in the field in strokes-gained: total in 2025.

Rahm initially took a little time to find his feet in The Open, missing one cut and failing to record a single top 40 in his first three attempts. However, he turned that around at Royal Portrush in 2019, finishing 11th, and following with consecutive finishes of 3rd at Royal St George’s (2021), 34th at St Andrews (2022), 2nd at Hoylake (2023), and 7th at Royal Troon (2024), this two-time Irish Open winner now looks about as comfortable on the links as anyone.

1 pt Justin Rose (Top UK & Ireland) each-way (1/4 - 4 places) @ 16/1

Justin Rose had really struggled for form following his 2nd-place finish in The Masters back in April, missing three cuts and finishing no better than 40th in his next six starts. He burst back into life last week, finishing 6th in Scotland after a month-long break and can cause some real damage in our final major of the season.

Rose’s runner-up finish at Augusta was no surprise. He’d shown form earlier in the year, finishing 3rd at Pebble Beach and 8th in the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and was displaying quality across his game. His ball-striking went missing after The Masters, but he hit it beautifully last week, ranking 5th in ball-striking, 5th in greens-in-regulation, 7th in approach, and 12th in driving accuracy.

He's finished 2nd in two of his last five Open Championship appearances – last year, two shots behind Xander Schauffele and in 2018, again two shots adrift of Francesco Molinari. This is part of a wider book of excellent form in the tournament, recording four top-10s and 10 top-25s in 21 starts. One of those top-25s came at Royal Portrush in 2019, but he was actually positioned considerably better than that thru 54 holes, entering the final round in 4th place before an eight-over 79 saw him vanish down the leaderboard.

This is obviously an ultra-competitive market, headed by Rory McIlroy and also including Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton, Robert MacIntyre, and Matt Fitzpatrick ahead of him in the betting. That being said, Rose’s recent form in this event is better than most, and if able to keep the gains he made with the long game at The Renaissance Club, the 44-year-old may again take the beating among the UK & Ireland contingent.
