Singapore Grand Prix 2025 Predictions: Will McLaren stop Verstappen’s charge?

The F1 title race took another turn in Azerbaijan as Oscar Piastri crashed out on lap one, Lando Norris finished seventh and Max Verstappen took back-to-back race wins. He could be dragging himself back into title contention and is now just 69 points behind Piastri in the standings.
Next up, we head further east, and below you can find my Singapore Grand Prix 2025 Predictions.

Formula One will be missing a very friendly face from the paddock this weekend, as Lewis Hamilton’s beloved bulldog Roscoe sadly passed away at the age of 12.
"I feel so grateful and honoured to have shared my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel and true friend,” Hamilton posted on Instagram on Monday.
"Bringing Roscoe into my life was the best decision I ever made, and I will forever cherish the memories we created together…It is one of the most painful experiences and I feel a deep connection to everyone who has gone through the loss of a beloved pet.
"Although it was so hard, having him was one of the most beautiful parts of life, to love so deeply and to be loved in return.”
Roscoe will be sadly missed by the entire Formula One family, but now we must turn our attention to the race this weekend - which will push Hamilton and his fellow drivers to the limit. A night race in severe humidity, drivers can lose as much as 3kg in body weight over the course of a race, and mistakes are always a possibility given the strenuous nature of the drive.
Singapore Grand Prix 2025 Odds
Lando Norris to win @ 15/8
This is a tough one to call given the underperformance of the two McLarens last week, and the good form of Verstappen. However, I will back Norris to get back to winning ways for a number of reasons. First of all, he took the chequered flag at the Marina Bay Street Circuit last season, having put his car on pole and convincingly put his rivals to bed, beating Verstappen by 20 seconds and teammate Piastri by 41.
Although his teammate will be keen to bounce back from his Baku bump, Verstappen will want to have a say - although the Red Bull driver has had a frustrating time in Singapore. In fact, Marina Bay remains the only track on the F1 calendar that Verstappen hasn’t won at, despite his dominance in the sport over the past three years.
McLaren can clinch the Constructors’ Championship this weekend if results go their way, so that the team will hope to perform well, and I just give Norris the edge based upon what he did here last year.

George Russell podium finish @ 9/4
Mr Consistent for me this season. Russell has now bagged two podium finishes in his last four races, while he finished fourth in 2024 in Singapore. He came second behind Verstappen in Baku, but he has now recorded top-five finishes in eight of the last nine races.
You can set your clock to Russell in 2025 and he is almost guaranteed to be there or thereabouts. Breaking into the top three is always a challenge, but any slip up from the McLarens or Verstappen, and the Brit should be there to pounce at a decent price.
