Hungarian Grand Prix 2025 Predictions: Albon offers outside chance

Oscar Piastri’s comprehensive win in Belgium made it two race winners from our last two F1 predictions. Now we are searching for the hat-trick as the circus rolls over to Hungary, with the two McLarens still tussling it out for the title.
Below you can find my Hungarian Grand Prix 2025 predictions as we look to keep our good form going.

Oscar Piastri to win the Hungarian Grand Prix @ 7/4
McLaren have now recorded three one-twos in a row, and there’s plenty of evidence to suggest they will take the top two spots on the podium once more in Hungary. Max Verstappen is hit and miss, while it doesn’t appear as if Mercedes or Ferrari have the pace to get close to the papaya duo.
That makes life a lot easier when it comes to predicting a race winner, as the likelihood is that either Lando Norris or Piastri will take the chequered flag. Lando took pole at Spa but Piastri showed excellent consistency to win the race on the longest circuit the calendar has to offer.
Hungarian Grand Prix 2025 Odds
Realistically, what have we seen over the last few races? Two wins for Lando and one for Oscar on paper. But in Belgium, Franco Colapinto barged Piastri off the track as he came out of the pits which cost him precious time, and Norris won by just over two seconds. At Silverstone, only Piastri's 10-second penalty for a dodgy restart behind the safety car handed the Brit the race win on home soil.
Last time out, in a clean race, Piastri was quicker. Simple as that. I would still rather side with him at this moment in time, as Norris has made a few minor mistakes in the last month that leave me a tiny bit worried. It should be a two-horse race once again, and I’ll plump for the Aussie to get back on top.

Alex Albon to finish in the top 10 @ 11/10
Williams’ Alex Albon has had a bonkers season so far. But outside of the ‘big seven’ - McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari and Max, he’s now the best of the rest in the Drivers’ Standings. I’ve been relatively impressed with both Williams and Albon in truth, and now I think we are getting excellent value on him to register another top-10 finish.
Albon had a recent run of three DNFs which had lengthened his odds, but aside from that, he’s actually been a consistent performer. After coming sixth in Spa, he has now secured nine top-10 finishes out of 13, and nine out of the 10 races that he has finished. With Yuki Tsunoda not performing at Red Bull, I’m confident that he can get more points this time around, at a big price.
