British Grand Prix 2025 Predictions: Lando and Lewis to roar?

One of the best events on the sporting calendar comes our way this weekend as the British Grand Prix 2025 comes to Silverstone. With home favourites Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and George Russell all in contention for good results, we could see a special race unfold on Sunday afternoon.
Below you can find my British Grand Prix 2025 Predictions as we look forward to the action.

Lando Norris to win @ 13/8
Last week’s Austrian Grand Prix saw an epic battle between Oscar Piastri and his teammate Norris, and the Brit held off the challenge of Piastri to claim the race win. It wasn’t for a lack of trying from the current leader in the title race, as he even locked up at one point trying to get past Lando.
However, the gap has now been closed down to 15 points at the top, and another win for Norris in front of his own fans would make this battle very interesting indeed. We also saw Max Verstappen swiped out of the race on lap one by Kimi Antonelli, who locked up and could make the turn. The Red Bull driver will be hoping for a far more competitive drive back at Silverstone.
In terms of this British Grand Prix however, I am going to back two Brits to perform well. The race win in my eyes is a straight battle between the two McLarens and although that could lead to difficulty in terms of strategy, it should lead to massive excitement on the track. The papaya cars have clearly proven themselves to be the fastest on the grid in 2025, and you have to feel now that the drivers’ champion will come from their garage.
But who will it be? Lando drifted out to 3/1 to win the Drivers’ Championship a few weeks ago but is now back in to 6/4, and it feels like this could be a weekend when the momentum shifts in his favour.
Lando has finished third and second in the last two runnings of this race so in front of his own fans, I think we could see him land his first win at Silverstone. An iconic moment awaits if he can grasp it.

Lewis Hamilton podium finish @ 9/4
Right I’m going to admit it, this pick is purely heart over head. Lewis grabbed fourth last time out and has now finished between fourth and sixth in each of the last five races. That level of consistency has been impressive but Ferrari haven’t quite been able to match the pace of the McLarens or Max Verstappen, instead being left to battle it out for points with Mercedes.
However, this is Hamilton’s playground. He hadn’t won a race since 2021 in Saudi Arabia when he turned up last year, but he defied the odds to scoop his record-breaking ninth victory at Silverstone. This track, with these fans, just seems to do something special to him. I won’t back him to win the race given what we’ve seen from the McLarens lately, but he’s still a big price to secure a podium finish.
Every Brit would love nothing more than to see him succeed this weekend.
