Formula One returns to our screens this weekend, as the Belgian Grand Prix takes centre stage. One of the most famous circuits on the, ahem, circuit, Spa-Francorchamps is the longest track on the calendar, and often provides us with plenty of drama.

After a British Grand Prix which contained so much action, but ended under a painful safety car, how will they fare in Belgium? Read on for my Belgium Grand Prix Predictions.

Belgian Grand Prix Odds

Kimi Antonelli is the 7/5 favourite to win this race, while George Russell is 11/4. Lewis Hamilton is 15/4 and teammate Charles Leclerc is 11/2, while Max Verstappen’s recent struggles are shown by his 11/1 price to take the race win.

Ferrari to win the race @ 19/10

Charles Leclerc took the chequered flag at Silverstone, but he was handed the good fortune of the race finishing under a safety car, which did spoil the spectacle slightly after a pulsating GP. The Ferraris raced paced Antonelli from the off and duelled it out for a bit, until a five-second penalty realistically ended Hamilton’s hopes of a race win.

He still landed a couple of extremely impressive overtakes on George Russell and Max Verstappen to make it onto the podium and the pace we have seen from the Ferraris makes me want to side with them over any other team right now.

The Mercedes team has some genuine reliability issues that means I cannot back Antonelli or Russell right now. Antonelli, who won five races in a row, has now failed to finish two of the last three races. That has seen his lead at the top of the Drivers’ Standings shrink to just 25 points from his teammate, while Hamilton is now just 32 points behind.

I think Ferrari have shown amazing improvement so far this season and for my money they are well in the title race. I’d back Hamilton for the race win if I had to choose, but I think there is great value in backing Ferrari to win in Spa.

Isack Hadjar top six finish @ 11/10

I’ve gone back to this well a fair few times, and I don’t see any reason why we should stop. McLaren just aren’t at the same level as the top-three teams, with the drop-off from last season pretty significant. What that does mean is that barring any crazy reliability issues, the Red Bulls should be in a strong position to finish in the top six.

Hadjar has grown into that tricky second seat at Red Bull, and has now secured a top-six finish in each of the last six races. He came fifth at Silverstone and is consistently getting points on the board for Red Bull. I expect that run to continue here.
