Thursday evening sees three more second round matches in the PDC World Darts Championship and are we likely to see any more seeded players bite the bullet. Our darts guy Adam Roberts is back to analyse the form and has another boosted acca for your attention.

World Darts Championship Day 7 Tips

  • Under 8.5 180s (Noppert vs Williams) - 10/11
  • Over 9.5 180s (Clement vs Leung) - 11/10
  • Damon Heta - 1.5 Hcp - 5/6

Boosted Acca @ 6.35/1 8/1

Under 8.5 180s (Noppert vs Williams) - 10/11

First match on the stage on Thursday evening is a battle between no.7 seed Danny Noppert (2/5) and Scott Williams (2/1) of England. The winner will face either Martin Schindler or Jermaine Wattimena in the third round, so there is plenty of scope to potentially reach the fourth round.

Williams came through a potential banana skin in the first round, beating Japan's Haruki Muramatsu 3-1, in a solid if unspectacular victory. He will need to raise that 90.69 average several digits if he is to get past Noppert. 'The Freeze' is consistency personified and whilst he may not grab many headlines, he is always in and around the latter stages of events.

As for our selection, I like the unders on the 180 markets, with neither man a prolific maximum hitter. Williams hit just two in his first round win and if Noppert wins this one early, it could easily land.

Over 9.5 180s (Clemens vs Leung) - 11/10

I've gone completely the opposite way in match 2, as both Gabriel Clemens (1/3) and Man Lok Leung (23/10) can be 180 animals.

Clemens was the story of the World Championship last year, as the 'German Giant' progressed to the semi-finals, defeating world number one Gerwyn Price along the way.

As for Leung, he was the story of the first round, taking out highly talented youngster Gian van Veen with a 96 average and a colossal 11 maximums. The Hong Kong based star, who prefers to go by the name of Hugo, will be a threat to anyone in this tournament with that kind of scoring.

The German is also a fine 180 merchant so over 9.5 180's looks a really nice angle here, if the match goes into a 4th or 5th set.

Damon Heta - 1.5 Hcp - 5/6

Last up, we have Damon Heta (4/11) taking on Martin Lukeman (21/10) for a place in round three. Josh Rock will be a likely opponent for the victor, who will cause problems for either man.

Lukeman beat Haupai Puha 3-1 in the opening round and registered a solid enough 92 average but will need to improve on that considerably to live with Heta. 'The Heat' is up to no. 10 in the world and is one of the best grinders on tour, often winning games when not as his very best.

The 36-year-old has been a regular in the quarter finals stages this year, across the premier PDC events and will be looking to go deep again at the Ally Pally.

If Heta plays to anything like his potential he should breeze past 'Smash' with ease.
