The Premier League roadshow rolls into Exeter and the Westpoint Arena on Thursday night (19:00). Can red-hot Michael van Gerwen make it four nightly wins on the spin? Our Darts expert Sean Rafferty previews this one and gives us his predictions for the evenings action.

Premier League Darts Exeter Betting Tips

  • Van Gerwen to hit over 2.5 180's @ 8/13
  • Wright to hit over 2.5 180's @ 21/10

Boosted Double: 9/4 11/4

I'm not going to have a stab on the weekly winner market this week, due to the way the fixtures are laid out but will give my say on it anyway.

Van Gerwen plays Humphries first up which would’ve been the two players I was most tempted to back - Humphries out to a tempting 9/2 as a result but it’s tough to trust him to beat MVG, who’s now won nine matches on the trot in the Premier League.

13/5 is more than fair for MVG to win on the night, considering he’s won the last three out of four nights played so far. If he gets past Luke then he’s got a great chance. I can’t help but feel he has to lose at some stage though.

Looking at the other half of the draw - I’d say Luke Littler 3/1 and Gerwyn Price 6/1 are the best chances. I personally wouldn’t take Littler at as short as 3/1, when he’s yet to win a night but I can see why he’s those odds, as he’s the form player this year in his half of the draw.

Price at 6/1 could be worth a stab, his performances are better than his results are showing (he has only averaged below 93 in two of his last 18 matches) and he’s won six of his last seven meetings against Cross who he plays first. 'The Iceman' is then likely to play Littler in the semis, who he beat on Night 3.  Overall I’d say Price is the best value at 6/1 and certainly has a solid chance of making the final.

I don’t see a concrete selection for winning it this week though.

Onto my main tip and I backed these two to hit over x amount of 180s on last week’s treble and both selections came up trumps with ease.

Van Gerwen to hit over 2.5 180's @ 8/13

8/13 is still a cracking number for MVG to hit over 2.5 180s. The Green Machine managed 3+ 180s in all three of his matches last week in Newcastle, which means he’s now hit 3+ 180s in 9 of his 10 matches this Premier League campaign.

He also hit 3+ 180s in six of his nine matches at PC events 3 and 4, which are also first to six legs. He’ll want to play his best game against the current world champion Luke Humphries so should be well up for it.  Van Gerwen also hit four 180s against Cool Hand in the Night 3 final.

Wright to hit over 2.5 180's @ 21/10
