The Premier League roadshow heads to the south coast and the Brighton Centre on Thursday night (19:00). Nathan Aspinall was a shock winner last week but can he go back-to-back? Our Darts expert Sean Rafferty previews this one and gives us his predictions for the evenings action.

Premier League Darts Brighton Betting Tips

  • Luke Humphries to beat Gerwyn Price @ 8/13
  • Peter Wright to beat Michael Smith @ 7/5

Double @ 29/10

Draw

Luke Humphries v Gerwyn Price

Rob Cross v Michael van Gerwen

Nathan Aspinall v Luke Littler

Michael Smith v Peter Wright

Luke Humphries to beat Gerwyn Price @ 8/13

Luke Humphries looked the big favourite heading into the final at the UK Open at Minehead this past Sunday, however he failed to convert as he came up just short in a 11-10 defeat to Dimitri Van den Bergh. Cool Hand had coasted his way to the final, with nobody taking more than four legs off him between the Last 32 and the semis.

His performances were consistently of a good level - all five of his matches pre-final were roughly between 99-102 average. He needs to keep chipping in with match wins as he’s still yet to win a night and currently sits 6th in the table, yet only 2 points off 2nd, so every match win is crucial.

Price’s form is a bit indifferent of late. I felt the UK Open was a good chance for him to catapult himself back into top form but he lost 10-9 in his opening match to Martin Schindler, having missed doubles to win it himself. The Iceman seems to be lacking confidence of late and I think if Humphries continues to play how he has done in recent weeks, he’ll do the business in this one.

Peter Wright to beat Michael Smith @ 7/5

Peter Wright is still yet to win a match after six nights in the Premier League. This could well be the one where he finally puts that to bed - playing Michael Smith, who since winning Night 1, has only added one more match win and has lost his last four PL matches.

Bully Boy continues to struggle to find the form that won him the Worlds and Grand Slam at the back end of 2022. He’s went past the last 16 of just one event this year and has averaged 100+ in only two of his 25 matches in 2023.

Wright put in another steady effort at the UK Open, reaching the last 16 as he narrowly lost 10-9 to Stephen Bunting. Despite struggling last year too, Wright did win three of his last four meetings against Smith in 2023. 7/5 is a generous price in what I’d say is a relative 50/50 encounter.
