Premier League Darts 2025 Liverpool Predictions: MVG to star in boosted double

The Premier League has reached night 12 and we're back in the North West, where our darts expert Sean Rafferty has given us his picks for Liverpool, which have been boosted by our traders. So, without further ado, here are his Premier League Darts 2025 Liverpool predictions.
Premier League Darts Liverpool Tips
- Nathan Aspinall +2.5 legs handicap vs Luke Humphries @ 1/2
- Michael van Gerwen highest checkout over 90.5 @ 10/11
2 units Boosted Double @ 7/4 2/1
Nathan Aspinall +2.5 legs handicap vs Luke Humphries @ 1/2
Aspinall continues his pursuit of a top four finish which would see him into Finals Night in London in just over a month’s time. He’s really hauled himself up the table as the weeks have passed and now seems himself sitting handily in third place.
Many seemed to struggle with the playing conditions last week in Rotterdam, but Nathan handled it better than some - winning convincingly over Gerwyn Price with a 6-3 victory and a 97 average. He couldn’t repeat that in the semis as he was well beaten Chris Dobey, mainly down to some dodgy doubles on his part. But it was another week of points on the board, winning his opening round match in three of the last four Premier League nights.
Humphries was one of the players who really struggled with conditions last week, it’s not the first time that a draught on stage has really affected Humphries’ game. He looked to have all but chucked the towel in after just a few legs, perhaps a bit of a worrying sign for any Cool Hand fans out there, given he’s already recently expressed that it all feels a bit of a chore at the moment.
The Asp will look to capitalise on the recent dip in form for Humphries - Nathan has won two of their last three meetings, including that comeback win in the Night 10 final. His form generally looks a bit better than that of Luke and he seems a bit happier with where his game’s at. I really don’t think four legs is too sizeable a task for Aspinall and fully expect him to do just that at a generous 1/2.
Michael van Gerwen highest checkout over 90.5 @ 10/11
Where did that come from at the weekend from MVG? It was a memorable Easter weekend for Van Gerwen as he brushed aside his indifferent form this year to win the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich. He won it in some style too - notching up four averages of 102 or more.
What impressed me most about MVG in the event was his finishing - The Green Machine was 33/55 on his doubles over the whole tournament, an excellent 60% on the outer ring. He also hit plenty big checkouts along the way which dug him out of a hole more than once, managing a 102+ checkout in four of his five matches in Germany.
Of course he may not get as many opportunities against Littler, but I’d say that’s been reflected in the line it’s been set at, with 10/11 available for a checkout over 90.5 for the Green Machine, which feels easily achievable. Littler has had a few sub-par performances in the Premier League in recent weeks so Mighty Mike may get more shots around the 90-120 mark than some might think.
