Draw

1 unit Josh Rock e/w (1/2 - 2 places) @ 18/1
It’s been a very decent start to the year for Rock, as he’s arguably been one of the standout players on the Pro Tour so far in 2025, making two QFs then proving victorious at PC10 on Tuesday, as he beat Cameron Menzies 8-4 in the final.
He won 11 of his 12 matches in Leicester this week, with some eye-catching performances along the way - Rocky averaged 98+ in five of his matches this week, posting a monstrous 110 average in his QF win over Martin Schindler on his way to the title.
The main focus for Josh is more than likely to try and transfer some of this floor form into the televised events, after some disappointing form in the bigger events last year. He went some way to putting that right at the UK Open, where he reached the semi finals in Minehead. He had some big wins in that run over Ross Smith, Nathan Aspinall and Rob Cross.
He’s in a good place with his personal life at the moment and still at only 23 years old has plenty time on his side. He tasted success on the Euro Tour last year, winning the Dutch Darts Championship, so knows he can get it done in this environment.
He has an open looking section of the draw with the withdrawal of Michael Van Gerwen an added bonus. 18/1 is a fair price given the form.

0.75 units Martin Schindler e/w (1/2 - 2 places) @ 40/1
It had been a relatively quiet start to the year for Schindler, up until the last couple of weeks that is.
The Wall won a PC event a couple weeks ago from absolutely nowhere to be honest, he didn’t play his best stuff in winning that tournament but took advantage of a favourable draw as it opened up nicely for him.
What that win has done is given his game a new lease of life it seems - he went to the Euro Tour a few days later and put in a couple good performances, including a 107 average in a 6-1 win over Jonny Clayton. He then played Pro Tour action this week, making a QF on Tuesday but walking into a 110 average against Rock. He averaged 100+ in all his other four matches that day and has now averaged 96+ in eight of his last nine matches.
He seems to be hitting form and where better to triumph than in his own country? In my opinion, he’s played the best stuff of his career on the Euro Tour - winning two events last year, including this one. 40/1 looks a cracking bit of value for Schindy as it will be tough conditions for all of his opponents given the backing he’ll get from the home crowd.

0.5 units Callan Rydz e/w (1/2 - 2 places) @ 40/1
I don’t think I can remember a player with patchier form than Callan Rydz. One of the most frustrating players on the tour, due to the abundance of talent he clearly has and shows glimpses of but nowhere near often enough.
I’m hoping we can strike while the iron is hot, as there was a few indications this week that Rydz may just be coming into a bit of form again, after his form dropping off in recent weeks. Between the PC events and European Tour qualifiers this week, Callan has averaged 93+ in eight of his last nine matches. He’s very much a confidence player, so perhaps he’s feeling happier again about how he’s playing.
With the likes of Heta, Dobey and Nijman in his section not making a great impact on the Euro Tour so far this year, this could be The Riot’s chance to build on a semi final run on the Euro Tour later last year. Odds are a tad on the skinny side at 40/1 in my opinion but he still looks the best value in this part of the draw.
