Under 5.5 180's in Brendan Dolan vs Tavis Dudeney @ 4/6

Two different ends of the spectrum here - we have young Tavis Dudeney making his World Championship debut, up against Brendan Dolan who takes part in his 18th consecutive World Championship in the PDC.

Tavis did excellently at Q-School to win his card outright at the start of this year, but it’d probably be fair to say it’s been a big step up in class and he’s looked a tad out of his depth so far. The 21 year-old has won less than 43% of his matches across the last six months (includes Development Tour events) and is averaging just 79.16 over the same time period.

Dolan hasn’t exactly pulled up any trees in 2025, it’s been a pretty ordinary year for the Northern Irishman - he’s had a few decent runs on the Pro Tour, making one final and a further two semi-finals, but nothing noteworthy other than that. He’s still a player many would rather avoid, due to his more methodical pace, albeit he’s sped up slightly in recent times.

I expect Dolan to get the job done here, likely in no more than four sets. He’s not the biggest scorer but neither is Dudeney and if need be, the finishing could prove the difference - over the last three months, Dolan’s hit 42.58% of his doubles, compared to just 32.57% for Dudeney. Neither are prolific on the 180s, with them averaging just 0.24 180s per leg combined across the last few months.

At that rate, you’d need around 24/25 legs to see six 180s hit which is extremely unlikely to happen, as I say I think Dolan gets this done in comfortable fashion. Therefore 4/6 for under 5.5 180s looks tremendous value.

Over 3.5 sets Dirk van Duijvenbode vs Andy Beatens @ 1/2

I sympathise with anybody who’s a regular backer or fan of Van Duijvenbode, as he has to be one of the most frustrating players on tour to support. Nothing surprises me with him, whether he averages 85 or 105, neither is a massive shock. Although he’s made some progress in terms of recovering from his injuries, it’s ultimately still been a very underwhelming year for the Dutchman.

I can’t lie, I expected a bit more from Andy Baetens in his first two years as a PDC tour card holder. He came with a big reputation having won the WDF World Championship in 2023, but it’s been a struggle for the Belgian taking the next step up. He will see this as an opportunity though, as Dirk is one of the more vulnerable seeds, having suffered early exits at Ally Pally against Boris Krcmar and Madars Razma the past two years.

There isn’t a great deal between these two in the stats in recent months - Dirk is averaging 94.89 the last three months, compared to 92.35 for Baetens. Dirk is 2-1 up in the head-to-head, with Baetens winning their most recent meeting in September 6-3. Their previous results have been 6-3, 6-3 and 6-5, so don’t be surprised to see a fairly tight match.

I have this going tighter than it’s been priced up due to Dirk’s inconsistencies. Over 3.5 sets is generously priced up at 1/2 and looks the best value to be had.
