Gerwyn Price to win tournament @ 10/1
After a disappointing exit in the World Championship to Wesley Plaisier, Price has enjoyed a strong start to the new season - The Iceman made back-to-back semi-finals in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in the opening World Series events of the year. He then made the semi-finals in the first major ranking event of the year at the Winmau World Masters, narrowly losing to Littler in the semis, a match he arguably should have won. He won Night 2 of the Premier League in Antwerp and has caught the eye on the Pro Tour too, reaching a final and semi-final across the first four Players Championship events of the year.
The level of performance Gezzy is producing in recent weeks are probably even more impressive than the results - he’s averaged 100+ in 13 of his last 18 matches. He’s also hit 40% or more of his doubles in 22 of his last 27 matches. With the power scoring he has in his locker, he’s tough for anyone to beat if he’s hitting his doubles at a decent rate.
He comes to Poland this weekend, a country he’s enjoyed recent success in when he won the Poland Darts Masters in July. Gerwyn picked up one title from the nine European Tour events he participated in in 2025, I’m sure he’d like to at least double that tally this year.
Price will face the winner of Joe Cullen and Krzysztof Kciuk in the second round on Saturday, before a potential last 16 tie against fellow countryman Jonny Clayton, who he has an utterly dominant record against.
The top seed in this quarter is Van Gerwen, who had to withdraw from Night 3 of the Premier League through illness, whether he plays in this or not is very much up in the air and even if he does, his fitness will be in question. It looks a golden opportunity to potentially reach the semis, he may have to get past Littler at that stage, but not many have had more success against the World Champion than Price has. Odds of 10/1 for the Welshman to pick up a tenth Euro Tour title are too tempting to refuse given his current form.

Gary Anderson to win tournament @ 16/1
It’s been a long old while since I backed Gary in an outright market outside of the Pro Tour, but a rare European Tour appearance looks like a good opportunity to jump back on him. He’s hasn’t played a lot of competitive darts since the World Championship - he’s played the Winmau Masters and the first two Pro Tour events, opting to skip the two most recent Pro Tour events in Wigan, due to a busy personal life and stacked schedule with the exhibitions.
He should be well refreshed coming into this event, having enjoyed a near two week break from the PDC circuit. Although his Euro Tour appearances have been few and far between (chose not to play on it at all between 2017-2022), he’s been relatively successful when he has decided to make the trips over - The Flying Scotsman has won two of the last six European Tour events he’s played in, reaching an additional final and semi-final on top of those wins, an exceptional record really.
Anderson’s in a tricky looking quarter of the draw, with a lot of in-form names in there, such as Nathan Aspinall, Gian Van Veen, James Wade and Nathan Aspinall. I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing, Ando tends to raise his game against the bigger names and tends to thrive in that situation.
Nijman is the probable second round opponent, who continues to search for his best form on the big stages, then possibly Wade who doesn’t have a great record on the Euro Tour.
On paper, it looks a daunting task to reach the final, but Anderson is as talented as anyone in this half of the draw and I think he’s got his scheduling spot on in terms of being primed for a big run in Poland this weekend. Confident about the Scot’s chances and is good each-way value at 16/1.
