Premier League Darts Rotterdam 2026 Predictions: Mighty Mike to star on home soil

It was fireworks in a different way last week in Manchester, as an incident between Luke Littler and Gian van Veen dominated proceedings. Meanwhile Gerwyn Price dominated the rest of the Premier League stars with a brilliant nightly win. Now we move to the south coast, but will we get any more shenanigans on the oche?

Michael Van Gerwen to hit over 2.5 180s vs Jonny Clayton @ 5/6

MVG finds himself in a nice position in the league now after last week in Brighton - the Green Machine reached the final, whereas those closest in the chasing pack fell by the wayside in their opening matches. This means that Michael now finds himself more securely in fourth spot in the table, four points clear of Van Veen who is next best in fifth.

Tonight will clearly be viewed as an opportunity to extend the gap for MVG, with him playing in his home night in Rotterdam. However, it’s been a fairly mixed bag of results for him in the Premier League on home soil - the Dutchman has failed to win a match here since 2022.

Due to the inconsistent record here and Clayton having a fair bit of success against him in recent times, including last week’s final, I think 180s are the safest avenue to go down in terms of backing Van Gerwen this week - Mighty Mike has hit over 2.5 180s in five of his last six matches, I’d fancy him to have his scoring on show in-front of a partisan crowd and hit at least three maximums.

Josh Rock highest checkout over 90.5 vs Stephen Bunting @ 8/11

Whether it’s overs or unders, I usually concentrate on 180s where Rock is concerned. This week, I’m instead going into uncharted territory with him and relying on Josh to hit a big checkout for us. Of course, there’s plenty statistically in recent times to suggest there’s a great chance of it happening - Rocky has hit a 108+ checkout in nine of his last twelve matches, which were all over the same length of format as this match.

A 91+ checkout seems more than achievable for the Northern Irishman against Bunting, who he simply has to beat if he’s to keep his extremely slim hopes alive of pulling off the great escape and finishing inside the top four next month. The pressure has without doubt lifted slightly for Rock in recent weeks where the Premier League’s concerned, I’d expect him to at least keep the match tight against Bunting who also needs a win to stay in with a realistic shot of catching Van Gerwen in fourth place.
