It was fireworks in a different way last week in Manchester, as an incident between Luke Littler and Gian van Veen dominated proceedings. Meanwhile Gerwyn Price dominated the rest of the Premier League stars with a brilliant nightly win. Now we move to the south coast, but will we get any more shenanigans on the oche?

Our resident darts tipster Sean Rafferty is back with his Premier League Darts Brighton 2026 Predictions, including a double thats been kindly boosted by our Betfred traders...

Premier League Darts 2026 Odds

Gerwyn Price to beat Josh Rock @ 4/9

I did say last week that I felt a quieter period playing competitive darts would potentially benefit Price and it’s fair to say he proved me right. The Welshman was absolutely phenomenal on Night 9 in Manchester as he coasted his way to the weekly title with a trio of excellent performances - Price averaged 104, 113 and 106 in three comfortable 6-2 wins. His second nightly win in this year’s Premier League puts Gezzy up to second in the league, realistically just a couple wins from securing his spot at Finals Night in London.

This looks like a decent opportunity for the Welshman to continue his momentum and add to his points tally, as he faces the inconsistent Rock. As far as the Premier League is concerned, the signs have been a lot more encouraging for Josh Rock and his fans the last couple weeks - Rocky recorded back-to-back opening round wins over Jonny Clayton to finally get his first points on the board, you can tell a weight’s been lifted off his shoulders and he seems to be playing a bit more freely now which is good to see.

The Iceman just looks primed for big things right now though, he seems to be in a good place on and off the oche and is without doubt playing some of the best darts he’s done for years. He’s also won his last three matches against Josh, including a 6-0 thrashing in the Premier League a few years ago. I expect Gezzy to be too strong and too consistent for Rock on the night.

Michael Van Gerwen +1.5 legs handicap vs Gian Van Veen @ 8/13

This is a tasty looking all-Dutch affair and one of much importance now after a good night in Manchester for van Veen - the younger Dutchman showed signs of a potential return to form as he fell over the line to beat Littler in a dramatic, controversial match, which was overshadowed by the antics of Luke.

However, Gian didn’t let that hinder him as he went on to beat Josh Rock in the semis with a good performance. He ran out of steam against Price in the final, but ultimately it was a successful night and puts himself right back in the mix in the battle for a top four spot, as he moves up to fifth in the table, just one point off MVG, who fell to a disappointing defeat against Bunting on Night 9.

If MVG wins this match then it creates the opportunity to open up a gap between himself and the chasing pack, but if Van Veen wins then the Green Machine will fall out of the top four for the first time in this year’s league. MVG has had the better of their previous meetings and is still possibly somewhat of an “intimidating” opponent for Gian, with a lot of respect coming from GVV for one of the players he looked up to growing up.

Mighty Mike has won eight of their previous 13 meetings, including the last two. Both have been inconsistent of late but I much prefer the value of MVG who has been priced as the underdog in this crucial clash.
