Premier League Darts 2026 Odds
Josh Rock to hit under 3.5 180s vs Michael Van Gerwen @ 8/11
Rocky got off to a disappointing start in his debut Premier League season last Thursday, as he fell to a 6-2 defeat against Jonny Clayton. He didn’t play all that bad himself, but was up against a 110 average from The Ferret, so didn’t stand much of a chance. As a result of that defeat, the pressure may amplify a bit as he continues to search for his first win and get some points on the board fast.
Van Gerwen got off to a flying start in Newcastle last week - Mighty Mike won the opening Premier League night with victories over Stephen Bunting, Luke Humphries and Gian van Veen. That’s him already notched up one more nightly win than he did in the entirety of last year’s Premier League, a big confidence booster that should stand him in good stead in the quest for a spot in the top four of the league.
These two have played each-other twelve times since November 2022, MVG has generally had the bragging rights, leading 8-4 on the head-to-head. There isn’t much to separate the two in the win market, personally I’d make the Dutchman favourite, but I think there’s more value in going with under 3.5 180s for Rock again. The same selection came good for us last week with Rocky only managing to hit two maximums, despite averaging 102. That means he’s now hit under 3.5 180s in his last nine matches over a shorter format, 8/11 looks a generous price again.
Highest checkout over 110.5 in Gerwyn Price vs Gian Van Veen @ 8/13
It was a successful opening night for Van Veen in the Premier League, reaching the final in what was his debut in the competition. He may not have been thrilled with his level of performance, averaging below 99 in all three of his matches, but he should take some encouragement from the fact that he picked up results without being near his best.
Price is yet to record his first win, having narrowly lost out 6-5 to Luke Humphries in his quarter-final match last week. The Iceman’s form has been pretty decent in the early stages of this year, reaching the semi-finals of the World Masters where he could and arguably should have beat Luke Littler. He’ll be fairly confident he can bounce back from last week’s disappointment against Gian who he has an outstanding record against - Gezzy has won eight of his nine previous meetings against the World number three, a lot of them have been very one-sided too, with Van Veen picking up just one leg in four of those Price victories.
With the head-to-head record, you can definitely make a case for the Welshman winning at 11/10, but I’d rather opt for a big checkout to be hit between two of the best combination finishers in the game. There’s been a 115+ checkout in six of their nine previous meetings, all of them have been over a similar format to this match too. With it looking relatively 50/50, I’d expect 9+ legs to be played and there should be a 111+ checkout nailed in the process.
