World Grand Prix Final Tips: Over 130 checkout for De Decker

Imagine our shock that Luke Humphries is in another major final and Cool Hand is gunning for his second consecutive World Grand Prix crown when he takes on Belgium's Mike De Decker on Sunday live on Sky Sports.
Our resident darts expert Sean Rafferty is here to preview tonight's showpiece, while providing his darts betting tips, which you will find below.
World Grand Prix Final Betting Tips
- Mike De Decker highest checkout over 130.5 @ 11/10
Luke Humphries vs Mike De Decker - Where do you start with last nights performance from Cool Hand? A champion in waiting you could argue, averaging over 100 in double in format over five sets is nothing short of sensational. His 47% doubling in and 60% finishing doubles showcases the heights Humphries can get to when these stats are on point.
Joyce only won three legs in the entire match and was limited to just seven darts at finishing doubles, this is despite averaging over 94 himself. It wasn’t just a one or two set burst from Luke either, he averaged above 100 in each of the last four sets, so really managed to maintain that high standard throughout the whole match. If Humphries reaches they heights again tonight then there’s no doubting who the winner will be.
De Decker came through his semi final against close friend Dimitri Van den Bergh fairly easy in the end, despite losing the opening set he went on to win 5-2, picking up five of the last six sets. It was arguably his weakest performance of the event so far but still solid enough with a 86 average. He had a 39% success rate on his finishing doubles, which will need improvement.
Luke Humphries vs Mike De Decker Odds
He’ll likely need to be 60% or higher on starting doubles and really have his scoring boots on to compete in this final. He can be proud of where he’s got to already this week, he’d never reached a major QF before this event so it’s already his biggest pay day by a mile. He has nothing to lose but I do think the experience Luke has in these finals and being in the habit of winning them too will be crucial.
We already have Luke Humphries outright at 4/1 so don’t feel the need to get involved in the winner market and the handicaps looked to be priced about right. Instead I’ll focus on a big De Decker checkout again, he landed a 131+ checkout for us last night at even money and I see no reason why he can’t repeat the feat tonight at an improved price of 11/10.
He’s hit a 131+ checkout in three of his four matches this week and has an absolute minimum of six sets to land one tonight, he’ll be hoping he has at least eight or nine sets. This looks to be the value again as I believe it should be odds on given The Real Deal’s recent track record of popping big checkouts.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
