Valle vs Bustillos Odds

Valle is a firm favourite at 1/14. Bustillos is the underdog, marketed at 8/1. The draw is priced at 20/1.

Valle vs Bustillos Fight Preview

Valle is an underappreciated icon of women’s boxing. The inaugural IBF atomweight champion, this fighter has been lifting world titles since 2016. Her 36-fight ledger includes an astonishing 14 world title fights, of which she has won 11.

Bustillos is on the other end of the spectrum as she chases her very first world title against a woman who has claimed four separate sanctioning body belts. She comes in with an 11-1 record, with her sole defeat coming in a WBC interim title clash against Sarah Bormann, the current WBO champion.

Bustillos has travelled to world level before and left empty-handed. But she is undefeated since that 2023 disappointment, racking up four victories since. Last time she picked up the lightly-regarded WBF title with a points win against former WBO champion Tamara Elisabeth Demarco.

That win was a suggestion of bright things to come for Bustillos. But Valle is a different proposition altogether. She has suffered just three defeats in her 36 fights. Those came in good company, on points to five-division champion Naoko Fujioka, former undisputed atomweight queen Tina Rupprecht and the great Seniesa Estrada, who retired unbeaten after the fight.

The wins trump those defeats. Valle has beaten former and reigning world champs like Anabel Ortiz, Marlen Esparza, Nguyen Thị Thu Nhi and Evelyn Bermudez. But Bustillos is more of an unknown quantity. Truthfully, we do not know how far this girl can go. But if anyone can thoroughly test Bustillo’s championship credentials, it is Valle.

Valle vs Bustillos Prediction

This looks like meat and drink for Valle. She is accustomed to the big stage, so a worldwide audience on Netflix will not phase her. The Costa Rican boxer is accustomed to defending her throne against hungry, young fighters. There is nothing on Friday that will shake Valle’s belief.

Bustillos will try and at times she will make it uncomfortable. But I feel Valle will be equal to any awkwardness and emerge on top. I am picking a win for the champion at 1/14.
