Masood Abdulah vs Zak Miller Predictions: ‘Super Mas’ looking to prove he’s the Man of Steel

Commonwealth featherweight kingpin Masood Abdulah defends his title against English champion Zak Miller this Saturday, February 8. The fight will be screened on TNT Sports as part of the Derek Chisora vs Otto Wallin undercard.
Here are my Abdulah vs Miller predictions ahead of this title attraction.
Masood Abdulah vs Zak Miller Odds
Abdulah is a big favourite going in at 2/9. The task Miller has in front of him is epitomised by his own 100/30 price while a draw between the pair is 16/1.
Masood Abdulah vs Zak Miller Fight Preview
Abdulah has stepped up his level of competition considerably in his last three bouts. The 31-year-old became the first man to stop former British champion Marc Leach before knocking out Olympian Qais Ashfaq. Abdulah then secured the best victory of the lot by outpointing George Miller to lift the Commonwealth title.
The former National Amateur Champion cannot afford to hang around at his age. While those of us typing articles while nursing an osteoarthritic spine as they hurtle towards 40 might smirk, 31 is often considered a fighter’s autumn years in this unforgiving business. If Abdulah wishes to climb the greasy ladder of featherweight glory, he better get a move on.
Standing in his path to those steps is Miller. The Mancunian’s only defeat came in a previous challenge for this title. Miller gave a great account of himself at the Manchester arena as he pushed British and then-Commonwealth champion Nathaniel Collins to the limit. The champion retained his belt via majority decision in a thrilling, closely-contested battle.
Miller looks to go one better here in another fight which he enters as a heavy underdog. The 27-year-old has ticked every box since the war with Collins. He picked up the English featherweight title in his very next fight, winning a unanimous decision over unbeaten Lewis Frimpong.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Miller followed up that championship victory with a decision over journeyman Brayan Mairena. The Nicaraguan has given good work to the likes of Kid Galahad, James Tennyson, Reece Belotti and Isaac Lowe down the years.
Despite the fact his opponent is as prepared as can be, most still expect this to be the Abdulah Masood show on Saturday night. Undefeated, untroubled and making the first defence of his newly-minted championship. This is the sort of stage ‘Super Mas’ needs to be on. Now he fights to prove he deserves an even bigger one.

Abdulah vs Miller Prediction
Abdulah has all the tools to get this one done. Miller is a grafter and has proved his durability. But he hasn’t yet met a fighter with Abdulah’s abilities.
I am backing the champion to retain his championship by stoppage here. I think he will dominate proceedings before finding an opening to wrap his night up early. You can back Abdulah to win by knockout at 5/4.
