There is a lot of EFL Trophy action taking place on Tuesday evening and there is a particular market in Bolton Wanderers vs Salford City that we have selected as our bet of the day.

Football Bet of the Day – Tuesday

Bolton Wanderers and both teams to score (Yes) – 9/4

Bolton Wanderers host Salford City in their opening Group E fixture in the EFL Trophy, as two promotion chasers from League One and League Two go head-to-head.

The hosts have had an excellent start in the third tier with 13 points from their first six matches, which sits them in second. Ian Evatt’s side are widely expected to achieve promotion back to the Championship this year but they are also likely to aim for another memorable EFL Trophy run, after beating Plymouth Argyle in last year’s final.

Salford City have had a mixed bag of results so far in League Two, picking up seven points from their first six fixtures which has them languishing in 17th. They lost 1-0 at Morecambe over the weekend and will see this clash as an opportunity to get back to winning ways.

However, Bolton possess one of the strongest squads in League One and Salford will face a challenging test when they travel to the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Tuesday night.

Given how both clubs have started this season, form points to Bolton having too much for Salford to handle on the pitch. Especially if forwards Victor Adeboyejo and Dion Charles feature. They have both scored four goals already in the league this term.

But if the Trotters have a rotated squad, Salford might be able to give them a scare. That’s why 9/4 on Bolton to win and both teams to score (yes) seems like great value in this contest.
