There isn’t a great deal of football taking place on Wednesday but there is at least one international friendly which could be of benefit to punters. There is a market in USA vs Oman which we have chosen as our bet of the day.

Football Bet of the Day – Wednesday

  • Christian Pulisic to score anytime in USA vs Oman – 7/5

While UEFA teams are spending their international breaks mostly taking part in Euro 2024 qualifiers, teams of other federations, such as USA, are partaking in friendlies.

On Wednesday morning, they host Oman at Allianz Field in Minnesota, days after they defeated Uzbekistan 3-0. The scoreline looked comfortable but two of their goals came in stoppage time – talk about the late, late show. Timothy Weah opened the scoring inside five minutes, before Ricardo Pepi and Christian Pulisic got in on the action at the death, with the latter converting a penalty.

Pulisic has been continuing his fine start to the season after freeing himself from the shackles of Chelsea and getting an escape to AC Milan. The winger has scored two goals in three Serie A matches for the Rossoneri as he looks to recapture the form that made him a star at Borussia Dortmund.

This new lease of life has been of benefit to his club and now his country. Stars and Stripes boss Greg Berhalter will be rubbing his hands together at Pulisic not only enjoying his football again, but also delivering significantly-improved performances.

If Pulisic is given another workout against Oman on Wednesday, he will be brimming with confidence and wanting to continue his impressive form before returning to Italy. This is why 7/5 on him to find the back of the net at anytime feels like a great price.

Not only is he playing well and getting opportunities at goal, he was the allocated penalty taker against Ubekistan, which makes this market that much more appealing.
