Love island heart in the sand

Since my last Love Island 2026 article, the villa has gone fully off the rails in a way only this series could pull off. Finley's shock dumping had everyone talking, but what came next was even bigger. I don't think Finley deserved Ellie leaving the villa for him, but I have to respect her for standing on business. If she knew she'd found her person, why stick around? It was a bold move and one of the most memorable exits of the series.

Then there was Aidan and Priya. It looked like Aidan had finally locked in something real, only to completely fumble the bag by saying he wasn't feeling a deep enough connection. After weeks of watching him graft (even I was beginning to fall in love with him, never mind poor Priya!), watching him pull away just as everything was falling into place definitely wasn't on my Love bingo card that's for sure.

The Grafties didn't exactly calm things down either. Aidan walking away with three awards definitely wasn't the kind of hat-trick he was hoping for, but in fairness, it summed up his rollercoaster journey perfectly.

And then there's Julia. Once again, she has managed to trigger half the girls in the villa, but I can't help but be a fan. She says exactly what she's thinking and doesn't hide behind whispered conversations or bitchy comments. In a villa where plenty of Islanders would rather smile to your face and talk behind your back, Julia's honesty has actually been pretty refreshing.

There are only a few days left until the final, everyone's suddenly in their 'I've found the one' era (except Aidan... unless Jasmine's sister Bella counts), emotions are at an all time high and I'm already mourning the end of my 9pm villa fix. So, who's actually got the best shot at winning? Let's take a look at the latest odds.

Winning Couple:

Lorenzo Alessi & Julia Majchrzak @ 4/6

No shock here. Lorenzo and Julia have been the main characters for weeks, and whether you've been rooting for them or judging them, they've kept everyone talking.

I'll be honest, when they first got together, I thought they were complete chalk and cheese. As much as I loved them both individually, I just couldn't picture them working as a couple. Lorenzo has spent half the series trying to avoid drama and be a proper peacekeeper, while Julia somehow manages to find herself knee deep in it every other episode. On paper, it made absolutely no sense.

But somehow... it just works. They balance each other out perfectly, they buzz off one another and watching them grow into one of the strongest couples in the villa has genuinely been one of my favourite storylines of the series. At 4/6, it's easy to see why they're the favourites. Love them or hate them, they've absolutely earned that top spot... in my humble opinion.

Love Island 2026 - Winning Couple
Lorenzo Alessi & Julia Majchrzak

Kavan Murphy & Jasmine Muller @ 13/8

Kavan and Jasmine are such a solid couple and I genuinely think they've got one of the strongest connections left in the villa. That being said... I do think Jasmine could be the one thing stopping them from winning.

She's one of those Islanders that completely splits opinion. Some viewers absolutely love her, while others think she's a bit calculated and can come across as two-faced. Every time you think everyone's back on Team Jas, she somehow ends up in another bit of drama.

Kavan, on the other hand? I'm sorry, but I think he's cute. He's chilled, funny and honestly seems like such a green flag. Even with the age gap between them, they just make sense. They bounce off each other so naturally, look ridiculously good together and after surviving Casa Amor, they honestly look stronger than ever. If Lorenzo and Julia don't win it, I wouldn't be mad at all if these two took home the £50k.

Love Island 2026 - Winning Couple
Kavan Murphy & Jasmine Muller

Tommy Stagg & Yasmin Hadlow @ 4/1

I do really like Tommy and Yasmin together. The only problem is, they almost suffer from being too unproblematic. While everyone else is busy arguing, crying or exposing each other, these two are just happily living their best villa life, which means they don't always get as much airtime as the Islanders who are constantly in the middle of the drama.

They're genuinely so cute together, you can tell they're absolutely obsessed with each other, and their connection has felt natural from the start. If things had played out a little differently and we'd seen more of them throughout their journey, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they were the favourites to win. They're definitely a couple I can see making it on the outside.

Love Island 2026 - Winning Couple
Tommy Stagg & Yasmin Hadlow

Simba Kudyiwa & Angelista Gunda @ 40/1

I feel like Simba and Angelista have quietly become the forgotten couple. They had everyone talking for a while with all the drama, but now they barely get any airtime because the spotlight's on everyone else's madness.

It's such a shame Simba messed up as badly as he did earlier in the series because, honestly, I reckon these two could've had a genuine shot at winning if he'd just behaved himself. Angelista has handled everything with so much grace and if I'm honest... she deserved better.

That being said, I do have to give Simba credit because he has really stepped up over the last couple of weeks. He's owned his mistakes, put the effort in and seems determined to prove he's changed. Whether it's come a little too late is another question, but they do look genuinely happy together now. I can't see them winning, but I'd quite like to see them prove people wrong by making it work on the outside.

Love Island 2026 - Winning Couple
Simba Kudyiwa & Angelista Gunda

Aidan Murphy & Priya Jaswal @ 66/1

I'm not going to lie, I really thought this was going to be the happy ending they both deserved. After everything they'd been through in the villa, the friends to lovers storyline was just chef's kiss. Does it get any better than that?

Then Aidan had to go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like he didn't feel a "deep connection", and just like that, their chances of winning all but disappeared. Priya, be honest... you were already planning your final outfits. After all, you did ask Aidan who he wanted to be in the final with, nothing wrong with a bit of manifestation, I suppose.

I still really like Aidan though. I genuinely think he's one of the funniest Islanders in there and underneath all the awkward flirting and questionable decisions, I do think he's a good guy. I just think he got in his own head and overthought everything.

I would've absolutely loved to see their love story play out because it felt like they were finally getting the ending they'd both been longing for. Instead, they're now complete outsiders and it's hard not to wonder what could've been.

Love Island 2026 - Winning Couple
Aidan Murphy & Priya Jaswal

Samraj Toor & Mica Harris @ 66/1

Now for me, Samraj and Mica being the same price as Aidan and Priya is actually wild as I do genuinely think they have a real connection.

That being said, they seem to get a lot of scrutiny online, with plenty of viewers questioning whether what they have is authentic. Personally, I don't really think that's fair. I actually think Mica's biggest downfall is her friendship with Jasmine. She seems so attached to her that it's started to annoy quite a few viewers and I think that's had an impact on how people view her.

As a couple though, I think they're stronger than people give them credit for. They've just had the misfortune of competing against some massive personalities this series, so they've faded into the background a bit. I can't see them lifting the trophy, but I definitely think they're better than those odds suggest.
