Tennis Betting Tips: Bondar’s fortunes in Hamburg to continue

On Friday we will be treated to quarter-final action on the WTA Tour. There's action taking place across both the Prague Open and Hamburg Open and it's these two events that I turn to again to form my Tennis Betting Tips.

Match Betting: Anna Bondar to beat Alina Charaeva @ 8/13

Hungarian Anna Bondar and Armenian Alina Charaeva meet in Hamburg for a place in the semi-finals. Bondar survived a scare against Noma Noha Akgue in the round of 16 to force a late comeback and prevail in three sets.

There's something about this tournament and her because she's aiming to reach the final for the third successive year. Charaeva will hope to be the one who bucks the trend, but she too required a turnaround to book her place in this match.

This contest does seem a tough one to call given that neither of the two players looked convincing in the round of 16. The one thing going for Bondar is her record at this tournament, and for that reason, I'm backing her to come out on top.

Set Betting - Marie Bouzkova to beat Tereza Valentova 2-0 @ 11/8

In Prague, an intriguing last-eight tussle between defending champion Marie Bouzkova and Tereza Valentova awaits. The two Czechs face off for the third time in their careers, with Bouzkova having won the two prior meetings.

This includes the semi-finals at this event in 2025, with Bouzkova prevailing in straight sets on her way to glory. They met more recently in the round of 32 at Nottingham - another tournament which Bouzkova won.

There seems to be a pattern emerging for when these two players meet, but on home soil, this one should mean more. Bouzkova is yet to drop a set against her compatriot and I think backing her to win 2-0 here at 11/8 (implied probability of 42.1%) looks a sensible play.
