Monday 6th July 2026, 11:16

It's Day 8 of Wimbledon 2026, meaning we have now reached the second week. The fourth round kicked off on Sunday in the men's and women's singles, but the quarter-finals are only half-decided, with the rest of the action taking place on Monday.

I've had a solid tournament so far on the betting front, picking out two winners from three in all three of my previews, meaning I am six-for-nine in total, which includes a 13/8 success on Day 4. Below are my Tennis Betting Tips for Monday 6 July...

Tennis Betting Tips - Monday 6 July 2026

  • Price Boosts - Marta Kostyuk to win 2-0 (vs Ashlyn Krueger) @ 1/1 6/5
  • Match Betting - Marie Bouzkova to beat Elise Mertens @ 1/1

Price Boosts - Marta Kostyuk to win 2-0 (vs Ashlyn Krueger) @ 1/1 6/5

All respect to World No. 102 Ashlyn Krueger for reaching her first Grand Slam fourth round, but the 22-year-old has enjoyed a favourable draw so far.

The American's toughest tie came in the first round against World No. 34 Donna Vekic, who was as low as 117th in March. Krueger beat the Croat 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 before dispatching World No. 545 Mariam Bolkvadze (6-1, 6-0) and World No. 77 Daria Snigur (6-3, 6-2) in straight sets to set up a fourth-round meeting with Marta Kostyuk.

Krueger's ability will be tested to the maximum against the World No. 13, who enjoyed a sensational clay swing, winning in Rouen and Madrid before making the semi-finals of Roland-Garros, where she lost 3-6, 5-7 to eventual champion Mirra Andreeva.

Kostyuk took some time off after her Paris exertions, entering Wimbledon without playing any grass-court events.

The 24-year-old Ukrainian made light work of World No. 574 Nadia Podoroska (6-1, 6-2) in the first round before being pushed hard by World No. 114 Anna Blinkova (6-7, 6-3, 6-3) and World No. 26 Emma Navarro (6-2, 4-6, 6-1) in the second and third round, respectively.

Now, Kostyuk faces Krueger, who she lost 6-4, 2-6, 2-6 to in Adelaide last year in their only head-to-head to date.

Monday will be their first meeting on grass, where Krueger has excelled this year, winning 16 of her 17 matches across Birmingham, Ilkley and Wimbledon, although five of those were qualifiers.

While Krueger will carry a lot of confidence and momentum into this contest, she hasn't played anyone anywhere near the level of Kostyuk in the last month or so, with none of her previous opponents residing in the top 30.

Kostyuk knocked out Navarro, who had posted some impressive results on grass this season, against more illustrious opponents than Krueger, in the third round, and I'm backing her to prevail on Monday in straight sets, although I think the American can push her hard in at least one set.

Match Betting - Marie Bouzkova to beat Elise Mertens @ 1/1

Elise Mertens is favourite to prevail in her fourth-round tie with Marie Bouzkova after conquering World No. 2 and 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina in straight sets (7-6, 6-1) on Saturday, but I'm backing the underdog here.

Bouzkova is a former semi-finalist here, reaching the final four in 2023, while Mertens, albeit an accomplished grass-court player, has never made it past the fourth round, where she has fallen three times before.

The head-to-head is technically 2-1 in Mertens' favour, but the Belgian was handed a walkover at the French Open in 2022 after her Czech opponent withdrew. The pair met for the first time properly at the Cincinnati Open in September 2023, with Bouzkova winning 6-2, 4-6, 6-1, before Mertens exacted her revenge in February of this year, triumphing 6-2, 6-2 in Dubai.

Wimbledon Odds

This will be their first meeting on grass, a surface Bouzkova holds an eight-match winning streak on having lifted the title in Nottingham last month.

The 27-year-old has beaten Talia Gibson (6-1, 3-6, 6-2), Tyra Caterina Grant (7-5, 6-3) and Liudmila Samsonova (6-4, 7-6, 6-4) to reach this stage, while Mertens overcame Laura Siegemund (6-2, 6-4) and Maria Timofeeva (2-6, 6-3, 6-0) prior to her third-round success over Rybakina.

Quite often, we see players struggle to go again after achieving a high, such as beating the second-best player in the world like Rybakina, so I have concerns about Mertens on Monday. The 30-year-old was enduring a tough season, exiting in the second round in 's-Hertogenbosch, Berlin and Bad Homburg before entering Wimbledon.

Mertens' serve will be crucial, and if that isn't up to scratch, I think she'll struggle to beat Bouzkova, who I rate as the more talented player.
