Tennis Betting Tips: Three picks from the men’s draw for Saturday

A day to forget for me yesterday, as none of my three tips landed at SW19. Nevertheless, I've dusted myself down and I'm ready for another full day of action at the All England Club.

Saturday's tennis betting tips focus on the men's draw at Wimbledon, and you can find my three fancies below.

Frances Tiafoe to beat Alexander Bublik @ 4/5

This is the first time Frances Tiafoe and Alexander Bublik have met since 2023, and they're poised for a hard-fought match here.

In terms of the head-to-head record, it's two wins apiece, although Tiafoe holds a slight advantage coming into this contest, having won their only meeting on grass.

Neither player has been beyond the fourth round at SW19, and both have had to come from behind to win previous matches. Tiafoe is certainly in the better form between the two, but Bublik has the game to beat anybody on grass on his day.

That's the issue, though - 'on his day'. We don't see that day regularly enough for someone of Bublik's talent, so I'm going to back Tiafoe to win in four sets, as the former can take a set off the American.

Set Betting - Karen Khachanov to win 3-1 (vs Flavio Cobolli) @ 16/5

Both players made the quarter-finals of Wimbledon last year, and Flavio Cobolli was the runner-up at the French Open last month, so this could be another excellent match.

It's still early days for Cobolli on grass, and he doesn't look anywhere near as lethal on it as he does on his preferred surface of clay. The 24-year-old suffered a straight-sets defeat to Tiafoe in the build-up to Wimbledon, and he's dropped a set in both wins he's had at SW19 this year against Mariano Navone and James Duckworth.

In addition, four of the six sets Cobolli has won have been tiebreaks, so I think his luck will run out against Karen Khachanov, who's game is well-suited to this slicker surface.

Khachanov's straight-sets victory over Yannick Hanfmann last time out was particularly impressive, and he also won the only previous meeting with Cobolli - a 7-5, 6-4 triumph on the clay courts of Madrid.

Set Betting - Matteo Berrettini to win 3-1 (vs Grigor Dimitrov) @ 10/3

I thought I'd end on a real blast from the past - Matteo Berrettini is taking on Grigor Dimitrov, which should be a cracking contest providing both men can stay injury free.

Both players are hugely experienced - Berrettini was runner-up at Wimbledon in 2021, while Dimitrov's best run here came in 2014 when he made the semi-finals, but since then the Bulgarian hasn't been past the fourth round.

Berrettini saw off the dangerous challenge of Arthur Fils in the previous round, and looks to be finding his rhythm, and his big serve should be enough to hold off the threat of Dimitrov, who's enjoying a stellar tournament himself.

However, the Bulgarian has been plagued by injuries over the past few seasons, and physically could struggle to cope with the demands of this one. I like the price of 10/3 for Berrettini to win in four sets.
