Set Handicap - Tyra Caterina Grant (+1.5) vs Marie Bouzkova @ 5/6

Marie Bouzkova, who reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon in 2022, already has a grass-court title to her name in 2026, beating Emma Navarro 7-6, 4-6, 6-2 in the Nottingham Open final after winning her first four matches of the tournament in straight sets.

The 27-year-old, who is seeded 21st in SW19 this year, made a strong start in the first round, winning six of her first seven games against Talia Gibson, but she stumbled in the second set and was taken to a decider, eventually overcoming the Australian 6-1, 3-6, 6-2.

On Thursday, the Czech No. 2 takes on 18-year-old Italian Tyra Caterina Grant, who stunned Brit Katie Boulter 6-4, 6-2 in the first round on Tuesday.

It will be a tall order for Grant to repeat that feat against a better opponent like Bouzkova, but Grant has shown the sort of fearlessness that could land her a set against the World No. 23.

Boukzova came out of the traps against Gibson but trailed off in the second set, and a lack of focus against Grant could cost her here.

Match Betting - Maria Sakkari to beat Kamilla Rakhimova @ 1/2

Grass is Maria Sakkari's worst surface, underlined by a failure to progress past the third round of Wimbledon; indeed, she has fallen at the third hurdle in SW19 four times in her career (2017, 2019, 2022, 2024), whereas she has reached the semi-finals of the French Open and US Open (both 2021).

The 30-year-old lost her first two grass-court matches of the calendar year, suffering a 3-6, 2-6 defeat to Tatjana Maria at Queen's and a 6-4, 6-7, 4-6 loss to Qinwen Zheng in Nottingham.

However, she upped her game for the first round of Wimbledon, overcoming her underdog tag to beat Clara Tauson 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday.

Wimbledon Odds

The Greek No. 1's opponent on Thursday, Kamilla Rakhimova, spent two hours and 47 minutes on court in her first-round victory over Anhelina Kalinina, after losing three of her first five grass-court matches this year.

The Russian-born Uzbekistani player has never made it past the third round at a Grand Slam, exiting at that stage in Wimbledon last year after beating 2024 finalist Jasmine Paolini in the second round.

So, the 24-year-old has claimed a big scalp before in SW19, and beating Sakkari on Thursday wouldn't be as big a win as that triumph over Paolini, but I think Sakkari is the more complete player, and with neither competing on their preferred surface, I'll back the more talented woman to come out on top here.

Sakkari has a 2-0 record in this head-to-head, securing a 7-6, 6-2 victory on the Roland-Garros clay in 2020 before edging past Rakhimova 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 on the hard courts of Cincinnati last August.

Match Betting - Grigor Dimitrov to beat Jakub Mensik @ 13/8

Grigor Dimitrov's ATP ranking of 146 belies his quality, with an argument to be made that he is the best active men's player without a Grand Slam title after Alexander Zverev's triumphant run in Roland-Garros earlier this year.

Dimitrov has reached the quarter-finals of all four majors, making the final four of Wimbledon (2014), the Australian Open (2017) and the US Open (2019).

The 35-year-old appeared on course for the quarter-finals in SW19 last year as he was 6-3, 7-5, 2-2 up on number one seed Jannik Sinner, who went on to win his first Wimbledon title, before he was forced to retire with a pectoral injury. It was the fifth consecutive Grand Slam in which the Bulgarian had been forced to retire due to injury, and he left Centre Court in tears.

He made a triumphant return to the event on Monday though, claiming a 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, 7-5 win over Australia's Dane Sweeny to set up a second-round tie with 15th seed Jakub Mensik, who was given a scare by British wildcard Toby Samuel earlier this week.

Mensik was taken to a fifth-set tiebreaker, eventually coming out on top 5-7, 6-3, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (10-7) against the World No. 123.

The 20-year-old, who reached the semi-finals of the French Open last month, was beaten 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), 6-7 (5-7) by Adrian Mannarino in his first grass-court match of the season at Queen's, and he was unconvincing again on Monday, albeit he came out on top.

As ever, there are question marks over Dimitrov's body and his endurance levels against an opponent 15 years his junior, but he possesses the game to trouble the Czech No. 1 and at 13/8, may be worth backing in the Match Betting market if you're looking to lay an underdog.
