The NBA season is heating up nicely as we approach the business end - and there's an eight-game slate to enjoy tonight.
Read on for my NBA betting tips for Tuesday, March 17.
NBA Betting Tips - Tuesday, March 17
- Oklahoma City Thunder -9.5 (@ Orlando Magic) @ 20/23
- Detroit Pistons - 17.5 (@ Washington Wizards) @ 5/6
- New York Knicks -15.5 (vs Indiana Pacers) @ 4/5

Oklahoma City Thunder -9.5 (@ Orlando Magic) @ 20/23
Top of the Western Conference Oklahoma City Thunder takes on an Orlando Magic side competing for a top-four seed in the East - should be a decent match-up this one.
OKC still look like the best team in basketball, with a 53-15 record, incredible efficiency on both ends of the floor, and a stacked roster. Orlando have a respectable record of 21-11 at home, but they tend to struggle against the league's elite offensive teams, such as the Pistons and Rockets.
This one looks set up to be a Thunder blowout, which is what I'm backing on the spread.

Detroit Pistons - 17.5 (@ Washington Wizards) @ 5/6
Heading to the top of the East now, as the Detroit Pistons take on second-bottom the Washington Wizards.
The Pistons have a 48-19 record overall - 22-11 on the road - and they shouldn't have any problems here. Washington have suffered plenty of big defeats at home this season, and are second-bottom of the conference for a reason - they're conceding an average of 123 points per game.
As well as that, the Wizards are on a 12-game losing streak. Back the Pistons to cruise to a big win here.

New York Knicks -15.5 (vs Indiana Pacers) @ 4/5
Finally, the Indiana Pacers head to Madison Square Garden to renew their classic rivalry with the New York Knicks.
The Knicks are looking to extend their current winning run to four, but they've made hard work of those victories. Monday's triumph against the Golden State Warriors - who were without the majority of their starters including Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green - was an example of this, as NY had to overturn a 21-point deficit to grab the win. The Knicks also recovered from an 18-point deficit to beat the Utah Jazz, 134-117, on Wednesday.
The visiting Pacers tied a franchise record by suffering their 13th-straight defeat after squandering an early double-digit lead in a 134-123 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, and have been in 'tank' mode since Tyrese Haliburton went down with an Achilles tear in last year's NBA Finals.
The Knicks have ambitions of winning it all this year, so they need to be putting teams like this away with ease.
