Minnesota Timberwolves -6.5 (vs Atlanta Hawks) @ 20/23

My first pick comes from the contest between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Atlanta Hawks.

The Hawks were busy at the trade deadline, and their away form hasn't been brilliant recently, so taking on a disciplined Western Conference opponent in their own building isn't ideal for a group still building chemistry with several new rotation pieces.

The Timberwolves remain an elite defensive unit, and I think their frontcourt will neutralise Atlanta's speed and length here. Minnesota can dictate the tempo here and force the Hawks to rely on volume shooting, which has been their own undoing recently.

Denver Nuggets to win (vs Cleveland Cavaliers) @ 10/11

The Cavaliers arrive to Denver will a new-look roster featuring former MVP James Harden, who was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers prior to the trade deadline last Thursday.

Their new backcourt of Harden and Donovan Mitchell offers elite scoring and playmaking, but their frontcourt has been decimated by injuries, which I think will see them come up short here.

Denver remain one of the league's elite offensive units, especially on their home court, so their physical edge and home-court advantage should see them get over the line in a close one here.

Golden State Warriors -7.5 (vs Memphis Grizzlies) @ 20/21

We're ending on an all-Western Conference clash between the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies were another team active at the trade deadline, sending former Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Utah Jazz for rookie guard Walter Clayton Jr. and three future first-round picks.

The Warriors have been having to cope without their talisman Steph Curry, who's been out injured with a knee injury, missing the defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. The point guard hasn't been officially ruled out for the Warriors' final two games before the All-Star break but head coach Steve Kerr has suggested he may rest the 37-year-old until after then.

Regardless if Curry plays or not, I think Golden State can cover the spread here. They've won the last three games against the Grizzlies with an average margin of nine points, and put up a respectable fight against the Lakers without their two best players.

Memphis have an extensive injury list too, so I'm backing the Warriors to make their home advantage count.

Golden State Warriors -7.5
