The South African franchise have made the perfect start with wins over Bayonne and Stade Rochelais before Christmas, and they are 2-2 in the URC since the turn of the year.

Harlequins took care of Bayonne on matchday two, but that is their only win in their last eight games, and 2026 has started with a trio of wide-margin Gallagher Prem defeats for Jason Gilmore's side.

Harlequins vs Cape Town Stormers Odds

Despite their recent poor form, Harlequins are 2/5 to make home advantage count and put a second European success of the season on the board. The Cape Town Stormers are rated 2/1 to go in again, with the draw priced at 22/1.

The three-way handicap sees Quins priced at 10/11 to overcome a seven-point deficit, with Stormers 20/21 and the handicap tie available at 20/1.

Team News

Harlequins have made seven changes to their starting XV. Tyrone Green returns for the first time since late October to start at full-back, with Cadan Marley and Nick David on the wings.

Luke Northmore continues in the outside centre channel alongside Bryn Bradley in midfield as the academy product makes his first European start.

Marcus Smith is wearing the No. 10, while Simon Kerrod starts at loosehead, Jack Walker is selected at hooker with Pedro Delgado at tighthead, with Chandler Cunningham-South, Jack Kenningham and skipper Alex Dombrandt in the back three.

The Stormers have left some heavy artillery at home, with an eye on Leicester Tigers in Cape Town in only six days.

Warrick Gelant and Damian Willemse are in the travelling party with Jurie Matthee set to start at 10, and the likes of Oli Kebble, Vernon Matongo and Wandi Mlaba coming into the forward pack.

Luke Burger is on the left wing as the only run-on debutant for the Stormers, though lock Alex Groves, loose forward Wandile Mlaba and former Blitzboks flyer Mfundo Ndhlovu are likely to get game time off the bench.

Cape Town Stormers +10 @ 4/5

The pressure is on Quins to get a result, and they will feel they have strong claims given that the Stormers have left some big names at home.

However, Jason Gilmore's side have lost their three Gallagher Prem games lately by 26 points, 26 points and 45 points. They have lost seven of the last eight in all competitions and are a difficult side to trust.

The Stormers have enough experience, allied with some up-and-coming talent waiting to impress, and they will know that a positive result here can push them towards a home knockout tie.

Gilmore has warned his side that performances need to improve, and signs are, they may not thrive under that pressure.
